Glowing, cloudy pale yellow in color with a small, fizzy white head. Aroma is lemon zest, orange rind, sour, yeast, cloves and pepper. Flavor is sour lemons sprinkled with sugar, pepper and clove. Much like a stale lemon drop. Very reserved flavor. Vanilla overrides other taste elements on the backend of each sip. A little acidic and spicy on the palate. Smooth - kept seeming like it wanted to elevate its flavor elements but it’d plateau too early. Finish is like a citric cooler sitting in the sun for an hour. A little thinning and lacking candi sugar. A nice quaff, but doesn’t come full circle. Thanks for the New England goodie, tpkenned!

Nov 20, 2008 Bouteille de 330 ml. Nos yeux observent une bière de couleur paille très voilée et un col de mousse modeste et durable. Au nez on découvre des arômes de blé, de levure fruitée, de clou de girofle, de coriandre et de cannelle. En bouche le corps est moyen-rond avec une effervescence faible-moyenne. On goûte des saveurs de blé, de coriandre, de levure, de clou de girofle et de cardamone. Les épices sont très bien balancée.

Oct 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours very light, probably yellow with orange tints. Flavor is of soft flowers, clove, vanilla and sugar. A strange beer indeed, given its subtlety and ambient sweetness. Finishes with more prominent wheat and spice notes, all the while maintaining sweet backbone.

Oct 30, 2008 330 mL bottle. This was a disappointment after all of the hype. Pours an unfiltered, hazy, bright yellow with a thin, white head. Aroma is typical witbier: cloves, coriandor, orange peel, and lemon plus some yeasty notes. Taste has a kick of bananas like a good wheat beer. Still lots of spice. Refreshing with a lingering aftertaste of citrus and yeast. Palate is watery and thin. Overall a good witbier but by no means an excellent example.
