3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Hannaford Exeter NH. Aroma is strong pepper with citrus fruits and yeasty combination. Appearance is murky greenish yellow with good sparkle at the edges and two-finger width fluffy white head with good retention and foamy lacing. Taste is mild sweetness with pepper balanced with mild bitter. Palate is creamy medium bodied with brief lively carbonation at back of lips and tip of tongue before fading. Finish is wet and pretty long with light sweetness. Overall, this is a good beer that has some interesting spiciness to it. It isn’t quite the powerhouse I was expecting based on its rating.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful golden straw color that poured very clear and then I dropped the yeast which clouded it up but still stunning. Aromas of lemon peel, Rosemary, and hay with the classic clove yeast. Taste is very refreshing with crisp character that is spicy up front with pepper notes and finishes with bubblegum and then allspice at the very end. A fantastic beer and a benchmark for the style.

Exactly correct for the style. Clove flavor. Slight citrus. Wheat bite. If you like the style you’ll like the beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz bottle, poured into a tulip glass at approximately 40 degrees F.
Appearance: Pours a quite cloudy pale straw gold, and forms a massive white head with good retention. Lacing was exceptional throughout.
Smell: Musty wheat mixed with a bouquet of light fruits, from pear to lemon-orange citrus. Some hints of spiciness lurk within the depths of the aroma.
Taste: Spices hit straightaway, coriander, clove, and white pepper, before receding a touch to let fruit esters swirl in. Waves of white grapes, pears, and a mildly tart citrus bearing hints of orange and lemon hit and mingle. A faint tone of bubblegum arises towards the finish, which leaves a lingering tart citrus and peppery spice aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Light and effervescent, this is a refreshing beer to drink.
Overall: A good witbier, solid in every aspect. I’m a fan.

Une très belle blanche qui n’a rien à envier à nos blanches belges, fraîche, épicée, citronnnée longue et équilibrée.
