Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of spice, yeast, and citrus. Spicy flavor with notes of yeast, lemongrass, wheat and hops. Enjoyable and refreshing, a perfect beer for summertime.

Draft. A great-smelling witbier, with coriander and nutmeg spice, lots of yeast, and lemon citrus accompanying grain and a light caramel malt nose. On the palate, the beer is long-lasting and fresh-tasting. Apricot and hopcit, with a complementary tandem of hop and malt. Also spice on the tongue, and the "white" flavors of yeast and wheat with a full mouthfeel. An excellent example -- from America!

Pours a uniformly cloudy bright yellow with a minor head. Odd looking, but not unpleasant looking. Cloves, banana, and apples assault the nose with that wheat beer sourness. Average weight on the tongue with decent CO2 levels and just a touch of viscosity. Exactly what I smelled is exactly what I’m tasting. Perhaps a bit more sour, though. I’d say it’s a ctirus sort of sour, reminding me kumquats or tangerines maybe-- very vitamin C. This sourness lingers on the palate in much the way bitterness lingers after most beers. This style isn’t my cup of tea, but this ain’t bad.

From a 750ml bottle batch #36 in a pint glass. Pours hazy pale orange with nice lasting white head and nice lacing. Light aroma of fresh orange and very mild spice. Very delicate balance of orange, spice and sweet vanilla flavors. Medium-light body and medium carbonation make this an incredibly refreshing beer. An excellent example of the style, one of the best I’ve had.

Pale straw with a tiny head, no lacing. Aroma is a little spice a little wheat, and plain. Flavor is medium bodied wheat, spice and a little banana scented yeast fart. Feel is a little fizzy. Finish is a bit frainy and heavier than you would expect.

Hazy yellow orange, with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and spicy with phenolics. Taste is the same, with citrus peel and clove into the finish with a drying phenolic presence. $2/12oz

Nice frothy white head. Very pale light gold and a little cloudy. Big bubble gum aroma. Flavor is light and slightly spice and bubble gum. Texture is velvety and smooth. Fairly good.

very citrusy. normal appearance. initally off-putting is the sourness, but once you get used to it the flavorfulness of this wit is proudly revealed.
