COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

very mild. decent flavor. Barely pale yellow in color with no head. Has no smell other than that of a plain old domestic beer. Tastes good. But nothing to rave about

Bottle at the Rookery. Pours a hazy golden with thin cream colored head. Aroma of yeast and lemons. Taste is a bit of spice, hops, and malts

12 fl. oz. bottle, bought somewhere in a small bar in northern Vermont, could be in Middlesex. Pale unclear yellow in the glass, white head. Hop and fruity honey on the nose. Starts hopy with yeast, malt and a fruity and spicy aftertaste. A little bit flatter to the end. Really nice one.

Better than my rating. Hazy yellow. Not much on the nose. Taste is lemon grain malt and hops all mild. All blended.

12oz bottle with no bottling date.

A: Pours pale yellow/off-white hazy with a fluffy white head.

A: Spicy yeast, banana, cloves, floral notes and herbal hops.

T: Burst of spices, cloves, coriander, floral hops, yeast, wheaty malt.

P: medium-bodied, smooth and creamy with decent carbonation.

O: One of the better witbiers I’ve had; quite heavy-handed on the spices but that’s to be expected of the style.

Its color was light yellow with a hazy body that produced a light white colored head. The head had a soapy appearance with large and small bubbles that hang out for a long time and make nice spotty lace on the glass. The aroma is full of wonderful malty wheat tones, yeast and spice. It has a bright vibrant flavor and smooth palate. It has a mostly sweet malt with some wheat tang and nice mild yeast flavor. Coriander and Curacao orange peel give it a good spicy and bitter/sweet citrus touch that works well with the very mild and slightly herbal hops. A smooth creamy texture, medium body and lively carbonation give it a very refreshing character.

On tap at Ledo. Pours a mild hazy straw yellow color with pure white head and measures nearly an inch thick, leaving a sheet of lacing. Aroma is wheat, grass, lemons, spice, malt. Flavor is heavily spiced, with coriander prominence. Residual lemon zest and floral notes. Lingering hop bitterness and saison-like characteristics. Light bodied and complex.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy golden pour with a white head. Nose is banana bread, spice and lemon. Taste is fruity, with hints of orange banana and clove. Very refreshing, good American version of the style.
