COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

cloudy pour, style right? wheat in the nose, spice in the mouth. its subtle, its light, its not for me.

I’m not too impressed with this one at all. Maybe it’s just the style that I don’t care for. While not unpleasant, this White is quite boring with no real character to speak of. Flavor is what you’d expect; Wheat, lemon, and a little pepper. I will finish it easily, but will not be buying again. Will have again only if offered for free.

From notes: Pours cloudy hazy golden body with white thick head. Aroma has smooth aroma, some spices, vanilla and some wet grass. Flavour has wheat and spices, some citrus. Feels like drinking tahini paste. Somehow this doesn´t feel good even though all the right things are there. Could I have had a bad bottle?

Pours a pale yellow with a slight white head. Aroma is of orange, hops, wheat. Taste is about the same, rather watery, but very drinkable.

Maybe I just had a bad bottle but the finish was kinda funky. I know it’s a white beer but something was off.

Session white ale from allagash. Good beer but too sweet for multiple consumptions.

This is by no means a bad drink, but apparently we (Jenn and I) do not care for Belgian Whites that much. As far as Belgian Whites go, however, it is a good one (our experience with them is limited).

Draught. Nose is faint coriander and sweet orange. Cloudy pale yellow with no head. Flavor is dominated by orange peel and a harsh peppery spice (probably too much paradise seed). Palate is rough. An out-of-balance wit.

Cloudy light yellow with a small white head. A spicy/orange aroma. A wheat taste with a little too much winter spice for me to consider this a summer beer, more of a fall beer. The spices also get old quickly. I did not find this that refreshing.

Sour yeast aroma with some light spices in the background. Clear pale yellow color. Thin palate. Watery taste with light flavors of yeast and citrus. Not much to enjoy.
