Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

Pours a cloudy pale golden color, big white head, good lace, and a lot of clingy bubbles in the body. Aroma is lemon zest, other citrus, slightly tart, and some mild spices. Flavor is lemon & citric, some hints of banana (especially as it warmed), light spice, some biscuit, and some bubblegum was detected at the very end. Body is medium-full, lot's of different flavors and things happening as it warmed.

Definitely reminded me of Hoegaarden. Great aroma and appearance. Tastes fruity and spicy and is an extremely refreshing beer. I like the color a bit more than Hoegaarden.

I really really like this Wit. Clean and crisp and lemony. Faint spicy undertone. Very much resembles a German Hefeweizen. Another great beer from Allagash. It appears at this point they know their belgian brews and do a terrific job reproducing them. I enjoyed this one even more than I did the grand cru. Definitely a beer to accumulate.

This was the first Belgian Whilte I’ve ever enjoyed and I was extremely impressed. The color of the beer is very unique light but somewhat cloudy. It’s refreshing qualities are perfect for a hot summer day. If you’re lucky enough to enjoy it on tap you’ll get a much better experiance then the bottle offers.

Thanks Kevin! Tasted at the South Western Ontario Gathering, in London, Ontario. Pours deep hazy yellow, with a huge foamy head. Smells like lemony corriander, wiht some licorice, and all spice. Some clove as well. Tastes like a regular wheat, plus tax! Lots of spices and cloves, black pepper too. One of my favourites. Y’all know I jadore blanche!

Wow, very nice! Had this one on tap in DC at St. X. It was served with lemon but I chose to drink half without the addititve flavour. It is a crisp belgian white with a remarkably clear yellow colour; not cloudy like most belgiuns. Nice spicy citrus going on which is actually very nice with the lemon addition. It feels like a great beer for thirst quenching on a hot day. Not bad at all! Very easy to drink. A friend of mine who usually just drinks lighter beer enjoyed his taste of mine so much that he ordered his own. I only wish this bar was a little more affordable. $7.70 for a glass???

smells sweet and citrussy. murky yellow body with thin white head. Tastes sweet and citrussy with just a hint of hops and alcohol. A very decent beer. A belgian that’s accessable and not overwhelming. I am very impressed. Of course, I wouldn’t expect less from by far one of the best Maine breweries.
