COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

pours slightly hazy pale gold. nose is wheat, fruit (mainly banana and apple), spice. taste is heavy on the wheat, with yeast, clove, and fruit (lemon, orange, and apple) in the background; banana seems to come through in the finish, not my favorite style, but easy to drink.

Light yellow, cloudy, lots of carbonation bubbles, slight head, nice lacing. Aroma is wheat malt, floral hops, bit of bubble gum and fruity yeast. Taste is wheat malt, spicy and floral hops, lots of yeast esters; spicey and fruity. Mouthfeel is light body, lot of carbonation, slight peppery spice. Overall very good American version of a Belgian Wit, easy drinking and tasty, I will buy this again.

Glass to bottle. Pours a hazy very blight golden, almost lemonade appearance, with a thin white head. Smells strongly of yeast, with a soft floral aroma, easy on the nose. Flavor is full of light wheat, with mild sweetness, spice, and hints of clove. Mild sweetness lingers into finish. Light body with a slightly oily feel, with mild sweetness lingering into finish. Quite tasty.

Somewhat middle of the road wit. Two bottles worth: somewhat lemony but, for my tastes, I might prefer more spiciness. Others enjoyed it at same tasting.

Tap at Plan B, Springfield, 19/05/13. Clouded pale yellow with a thin white head which clears to a film. Nose is a little thin, grass, corriander, lemon, spice. Taste comprises lemon rind, wheat, grain, corriander, light cereal, pinch of spice, touch of sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tangy citrus zest in the finish. Ok wit.

Poured from a growler. Cloudy straw yellow pour with thick foamy head. Belgian yeast in the aroma and taste along with some coriander and orange peel. Well carbonated; a bit of a foamy mouthfeel. A nice refreshing beer for a summer day.

On tap at Village Tavern in North Wales, PA. I've had a handful of great Allagash brews before this one, and they all make this one seem a bit like Allagash Lite. Not bad, but I prefer their other brews to this.
