1st sample at the brewery. Poured amber in color with a small head and little lacing. Nice avg. hop aroma. Good hop flavor. Some malt to the body.

Growler from the brewery - This was good, not great. The color was a nice copper, but the carbonation seemed down. I expected more vigor. It did leave nice lace though. The nose was what you’d expect, a fair blast of hops. The palate was nice, bitter hops, but it really missed a strong malt structure to support it. Enjoyable but forgettable.

This beer started off well enough, with a nice appearance and aroma. However, flavor was a bit of disappointment in comparison. Appearance was a nice amber, with a tall and sturdy head. Aroma was distinctly hoppy, lightly citrus-y, and pretty bitter. Flavor was out of balance; I found it to be overly malty, not very hoppy (particular not so when compared to the beer’s aroma). Also, there were some weird off flavors, to include sourness and metal. Mouthfeel was OK. Not bad, but hardly worth seeking out. I had this on draft at the Allen Street Hardware Store.

On tap @ Allen Street Hardware, Buffalo NY. Nice citrusy hop aroma. Amber orange colored. Nice hop flavor & well balanced with caramel malt presence. Not a hop bomb what so ever but a nice easy drinking ipa
