Beacon Fire is the newest addition to our range. It is a unique and moreish ale. Earthy, smokey with dried fruit flavours from Mexican Pasilla chillis. With real chilli fire!

Bottle shared @ ChrisO after GBBF Day 1. Clear orange color, small off-white head. Aroma is way more hoppy than I had expected. Taste is spicy, chili, and basically completely as expected. Not what I like.

500ml bottle shared with jeevan and the Mrs. A problem shared is a problem thirded, in this case. Although, to be honest, it wasnít that bad, just a poor 80/ imitation with some chilli heat. Didnít find it lingering too much myself.

500ml bottle from Cornelius, Edinburgh - amber brown with a marginal haze, rapidly disappearing lively off-white head, malty aroma, no lacing, caramel flavour with a chilli hit, thin, hot spicy finish

Bottle. Dark clear mahogany body, small offwhite head. Aroma has some nutty malt, raisins and chilli tickle. Flavour has sharp chilli burn in back of the throat. Some dark maltiness and bit veggies. Chilli burns quite a long time. Strange feeling for beer.

500 ml bottle. 060513. BBE May/2014. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Dark copper colour with a small greyish white head. Sweet malt, milk chocolate, dried fruits and mild vegetables in the aroma. Tickles in the nose a bit. The flavour is dry malt, wood, chocolate sweetness and some bitterness. Warms a lot. Thereís no chili flavour but itís warming... so itís definitely there. Quite peculiar chili beer.

Idiosynkrasie (4376) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 5, 2013
500ml bottle. Wonderful, totally clear, ruby red colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphur-yellowish head. Caramel malty aroma has notes of red berries, dried red fruit, adumbrated chilli notes. Taste is initially minimally sweet fruity, hints of red berries, dry hoppy overtones, in the finish appear slightly hot, peppery chilli notes; extremely smooth, soft palate. The addition of chillis is neither advantage nor damage.

SaintMatty (5648) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - SEP 14, 2012
500ml Bottle - Hazy copper. Drie fruit, malt and chilli in the aroma. Malty and very spicy taste with notes of leather, dried fruit and a warming finish. The chilli taste lingers for a long time.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 1/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 8/20
stravale (2315) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - OCT 26, 2011
Bottle @ Fenwick, Newcastle.
Appearance - Massive large head that quickly dissipate to nothing. Apperance of flat chestnut brown tea. Poor.
Aroma - Caramel malts....chilli heat...some fruity esters...no hops.
Taste - Caramel malt....fruity malt...hint of earthy hops...chilli...bit of smoke.
Palate - Sweet malts then big chilli burn finish. Simple. Almost no carbonation. Thin mouthfeel.
Overall - Just a novelty beer and not a good one. A substandard thin malty beer with lots of chilli. Thatís it.
