COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - August to January. Also available bottled.
A Porter style dark beer at 4%. Hints of coffee and chocolate with an oak aged aroma. The sister brew to Golden Plover, taking over from Curlew’s Return for the later part of the year.

1/2 at the Tilley Stone Gateshead. Mahogany with a beige head. Treacle toffee and farmyard aroma. Creamy, chocolate, and smoky flavours Dry finish. Let down by a watery mouth feel

(draught) pours a clear deep ruby colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of bread dough, dark fruit and cereals, with a hint of herbal hops, some light grain and caramel. flavour is light roasted malts, yeast and coconut, slightly oxidized, with a hint of raisins, dark fruit and a chewy finish. light- to medium-bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Cornelius. Dark brown body with a thin off-white head. Light lacing. Aroma of smoke, rust and nuts. Flavour of metal, forest fruits, coffee and chocolate. Thin body with a watery texture. Average fizz. An interesting blend of a Bitter and a Porter.

Cask at the Beamish beer festival. A mahogany beer with a tan head. Burnt roast notes before lots of oak on the finish. A bit like a liquid ash tray, though not in an entirely bad way.

Aroma holandske kakao. Farba tmavo jantarova. Chut vodova ale pekne kavova. Jemne kysla dochut. K ?okoládovemu zakusku jedine. Dutch cocoa aroma. The color is dark amber. Water but nicely coffee taste. Slightly sour aftertaste. To the chocolate cake only.
