500ml bottle. Pours an extremely dark brown - almost an opaque black. Smells of toasts, coffee and molasses. Taste is much the same and very drinkable.

Cask conditioned at Leicester beer festival ’15. Dark brown with white head. Really quite thin on the palate right from the start, some fruitiness perhaps with a touch of bitterness but overall very low impact for me.

Bottle from Robbs, Hexham. A very dark brown beer with ruby red highlights. It has a sweet whisky-like flavour, currants, vanilla and plum followed by oak and a creamy red fruity finish. Excellent for a pretty low ABV beer.

Dark ruby. No head. Soft cough syrup cinnamon. Flat initial taste, very little roast. Light bitterness. Mostly vanilla and minty. Not too thin but fairly dessert vibes. Finishes a cinnamon burn and clean tea bitterness. Pretty odd.
