330ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, dark brown colour with small to average, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly weird aroma has herbal and chocolately notes, hints of smelly feet, juniper berry. Taste is dark malty, minimally chocolately, herbal overtones, some juniper; minimally watery. Not convincing.

Pours a dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit and oranges. Taste is sweet to start, citrusy but fast gives way to a very very bitter finish. Fantastic.

3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. A black-brown beer with an unpleasant soapy, vegetable aroma, orange and pine flavours, a creamy mouthfeel, chocolate notes and a roasted finish. Pretty good apart from the aroma.
