COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

(swing top bottle) Clear and dark amber to brown colour with a foamy off-white medium head. Sweet toasted malty aroma with caramel and toffee and a whiff of herbal hops. Sweet flavour, toasted cara-malty taste, medium body and carbonation; finishes a tad too slim and sweet for me.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear, dark amber golden with a tiny off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt and pumpernickel. Full-bodied, sweetish roasted malt, a little dried fruit and pumpernickel. Finishes dry. 030409

It is dark brown and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of malt, syrup and caramel. The flavour has sweetness and notes of malt, nuts, caramel and it has hints of licorice and dark fruits and light alcohol in the finish. A nice dunkler bock.

Bottle 33cl. w. swing top.
Clear light to medium yellow amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, roasted notes, light alcoholic. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration, and a peppery - alcohol finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090403]

Bottle, 7.0%. OK spicy aroma. Clear brown colour. The flavour is quite sweet, but with a good level of alcohol to balance. A bit sugary, but also has some caramel.

My 2100st German rating. Bottled. A dark amber beer with next-to-no head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as lighter notes of alcohol and honey. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and bread as well as light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear, golden and hazzlenut brown with a small off-white head. Light alcohol presence and roasted malt aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavoured with a light metallic note. Light bitterness just counterbalancing the malt. Smooth roasted finish.

Gekocht bij Trinkgut Holzminden € 0,55. Lekker bier met heel veel geur. Smaak ook heel goed. Het enige minpunt was dat het schuim erg snel verdween.

(Bottle, Thanks MoritzF) Deep red chestnut aroma, creamy amber yet quickly dissipating head. Spicy malt nose - roast and licorice. Sweet fruity base, licorice or anis, some herbs. relatively light body. Spicy finish. Interresting....

Swing-top bottle: Clear, dark amber coloured, thin off-white foamy layer, quickly diminishing; sweet-(dark)malty aroma, roast malt, molasses and alcohol in the background with a medical. herbal (hops?) touch; sweet flavour; short sweet malty finish with some faint bitterness in the very end. A quite monotonous Bock...............
