2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 pivnizub (7225) - Bochum, Porúří, - MAY 12, 2005
Swing-top bottle: light amber coloured, thin but lasting foamy head; alcoholic nose with hints of caramel and cookies; fizzy but smooth; slightly sweet beginning, shy malty taste, nearly no aftertaste besides sweetness and a very small tinge of bitterness; rounded, yes, but not very impressive at all.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUL 6, 2011
Würziger, leckerer Antrunk und Mittelteil, vollmundig. Im Vergleich zu anderen Maiböcken recht süffig und leicht süßlich im Mittelteil und im mittellang anhaltenden Nachgeshcmack.
Guter Maibock!

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Engelsmann (652) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2005
Bottled. Pours a dark golden with a white head. Aroma is grainy, sweet malts. Taste is sweet malty, slightly cardboard bitterness
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 9, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) Fully golden with a small, white head. Very malty nose. Solid body with lots of sweet malt and distinct notes of alcohol. A bit sharp, bitter finish. Decent as such, but Maibocks will definitely never be one of the world’s more refined styles. 231005
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Emil (6070) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 24, 2005
Bottle. Golden colour with a small white head. Hay light malty aroma and a sweet malty hay taste. Medium body and a sweet dry finish.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Ungstrup (23917) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 23, 2005
A hazy orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of sacharin as well as light malty notes - and the flavor is pretty much the same, and the mouthfeel is thin inspite of the 6.5% ABV.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 JorisPPattyn (6710) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 7, 2005
Amber-ochre beer, clear; thick, off-white head, totally no carbonation. Almondy nose with alcohol and an assembly of malts. Terrible, alcohol-laden taste, first quite some sweetness (the alcohol) then some faint unrefined bitterness, some tannines mixing with caramel flavour. Alcoholburn, faint syrupy. Very unrefined Bock, nearly a malt liquor.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Pernille (518) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 19, 2005
Bottle. This is totally average. A nice and refreshing beer, suitable on hot day. But it didn’t rock my world. Or my palate.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 joergen (14985) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2005
Bottled.
Yellow coloured with a small white head.
Sweet malty flavour with notes of alcohol and caramel.
Sweet malty flavour with notes of caramel.
Hoppy finish.
Nothing special.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Geiserich (2334) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - MAY 19, 2005
Bottled: Light amber to orange color. Small foamy head. Malty aroma with hins of caramel. Malty sweet flavor, sticky, light to medium alcoholic. First sticky, then light dry finish. I expected a nice, flowerly mai-bock and got a boring strong lager.
