2011-01-29 - shared by jerc & mabel with me and blankboy. 22oz bottle. Slightly hazy light bubbly gold with a smallish fizzy white head (3-). Smells like ginger and paper. Taste - GINGER! lots of it, and that’s it. Light body, sharp carbonation, a longish tingly ginger finish. Simple, pretty good, really.

650mL bottle poured a nice golden color with adequate white head and decent lacing. Aroma was ginger and floral hops. Taste was lightly sweet with ginger and a light hoppy finish. Average carbonation and body. This beer is quite well done and tasty.

Bottle, pours clear golden yellow. Aroma of ginger and candied sugar. Flavour of caramelized sugar, ginger, and dark dried fruits. Quite decent.

650mL bottle, pours clear straw yellow. Aroma of ginger and candied sugar. Flavour of candied sugar, ginger, caramelized sugar, and dates / figs. Decent for what it is, though not my style.

Deep orange gold in colour with a nice finger and a half of white head. The head recedes to a thin cap, but doesn’t totally fade. Fairly strong ginger aroma, enough that the beer’s other smells are pretty tough to dig up. Smell is nice enough. Tastes like a golden ale mixed with a ginger ale. Light flavours, all pleasant and balanced. Good, not a whole lot to talk about, but it is a nice tasting beer. Light bodied and well carbonated, but not prickly. Works well for this beer. Really is a well put together beer. No one thing really stands out about it, but nothing needs to stand out for this to work.

Bottle [22oz] shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Pours a clear gold with a large frothy white head. Decent lacing. Aroma: I love it, it smells like ginger cookies -- and I love ginger. Flavour, which is a touch watery, of ginger and pale malt -- this would a nice refreshing Summer beer. Average bodied. Like I said, I’m a big fan of ginger so for me this was a pleasure to drink.

[3582-20110129] 650mL bottle. Gingerbread cookie aroma. Clear, light orange body with a quick foamy white head. Light gingerbread flavour has a lingering fresh ginger cleaner aftertaste. Medium body. Weird and not well- balanced but glad to try it. (7/3/5/3/10) 2.8

2011-01-29. Crisp dark yellow body with a small frothy white head. 3+ Aroma is a bit muddled, muted ginger grows as it warms. 6+ Flavour is similar, ginger over a mild pale malt core. 6+ Average palate. Decent, it could be a refreshing summer quaff, but I found it a bit dull and not entirely to my tastes in January. Bottle via trade with Vertical Bacon Bits

Pours a deep golden with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is sweet ginger and light malt. Taste is a smooth ginger and malt. A light tasting very enjoyable beer. Thanks to Vertical Bacon Strips for this.

A ginger beer?? Interesting brew for Alley Kat. Pour is beautiful gold and amber body. Ginger and malty aroma on the nose with mild sweet hops in behind. A very tasty ginger beer.
