Light, I guess with a malt accent.

341 ml bottle. Dark amber colour with a thin white head. Thin caramel malt, light nuttiness and an interesting cardamom and star anise aroma that I was not expecting. Thin body. Flavour is also a bit thin, some herbal/spicy hops mingling with the spices mentioned above. Not bad, but needs more body and more biscuity malts to get to where it should be.

A bit of bitterness, and grass hops with some malt and molasses. Mixed reception by my mates. More experienced drinkers thought it was better than average, and similarly for less experienced drinkers.

Bottle. Pours amber/red with no head whatsoever. But sweet and malty both in the aroma and the flavour. Decent beer but nothing to get excited about

They’ve changed the label design to be far more conservative-- gone are the cartoon cats. Anyway, this pours a dark amber brown. Aromas of caramel and almost marmalade (I’m not sure, because it became less evident as time went on). Palate is on the thin side with predominently caramel flavour. Very nice.

Cask conditioned at CAMRA Calgary's Real ALe Festival. Clean looking, light head. Dark brown colour. Malty aroma. Stronger hops than usual for a brown. Interesting pub beverage.

Bottle from a beer of the month club. Pours amber with a red tint and an tope head. Aroma is full of malty notes giving of note of sweet, grainy and a touch of caramel. Flavor is very malty as well with a sweet dark bread flavor to it.

Malty, tootsie roll aroma, copper red, with a small toffee head. Mild hops taste, malty, nutty and woody too. Smooth, good bitter after taste. Pretty nice.

An interesting ale-yeasty amber malt aroma with a certain starchiness. Bad label, intense ruby-brown beer with virtually no head. Tangy, doughy, light sweetness, muted hops. Weak body, tangy woody finish.

Reddish-amber color with no head. Mild sweet malt in the aroma. Nutty malt flavour with some decent fruity hops in the finish. Good balance, it's an OK beer.
