On tap at Beer Brothers. Pours clear brown, average head, good lacing. Smells and tastes more like a mild chocolate porter. Toffee, chocolate dominate. Nice beer but more than a brown ale in flavour.

Bottle to glass
Bought for a BBQ but this got left over. Time to rate it.
Sweet apply, malt initially, followed by some dark molasses, toast, and chestnut. The colour is a dark reddish amber and itís got a thin mottled and creamy head. Taste is very malty, with a touch of dark chocolate, grain, and something bittersweet, perhaps molasses. Thereís a touch of bitterness and skunk at the end, but overall, not bad.

Crappiest beer Iíve had from Alley Kat. It tastes strongly of some sort of artificial caramel flavour, always manages to seem flat, and is beyond bland. Stick to Charlie Flint or Blue Moon if youíre at the pub.

341ml bottle pours amber in color with a finger of off-white head that leaves hardly any lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and chocolate with some herbal notes. Taste is a caramel and chocolate sweetness with a herbal bitterness in the finish. A decent amber ale, but nothing memorable.

341mL bottle poured light brown into glass with off-white head and small lacing. Aroma is caramel and some floral hops. Taste is lightly sweet caramel and a mild bitter hoppiness in the finish. Light carbonation and medium body, this beer is a fine example of the style.
