COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our most popular fruit beer cooler. Only the finest wheat malts and natural apricot extract are used to hand-craft this fine straw coloured beer. Aprikat apricot beer cooler is a very clean, fruity beer which complements lighter foods and curried dishes. It also complements lighter desserts such as fruit plates and pound cakes.

Deep blond color. Peach aroma, a bit cheesy. Light flavor, too bitter and dry for a fruit beer.

They use a quality essence to make this, but that’s about it. You still have to really feel like a fruit beer.

Faint apricot nose with a nice gold robe. Fresh apricot taste with some grasssy notes. Little hopsin aftrtaste.

Sampled at Hop In Brew. It’s clearly extract and not apricots cut up and thrown in the mash, that worked for me at one brepub many moons ago. So the aroma is artificial. Its a lager. Yellow colour. Acidic.

Golden amber, aromas of sweet apricot candy. Obviously apricot flavour is the center of attention on the palate, but it isn’t so sweet that you are driven out of your mind. Very refreshing, and definitely nice for a change.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2003 After a few more of these I do have to improve my rating. More like an apricot cider than a beer cooler. No head. Bubbly at first and then flat. Huge apricot aroma. Looks like apple cider. Tastes like apricots and not much else. Apricot is an intriguing choice here.

Clear yellow. Big apricot smell. Taste is sweet and fruity. Apricot is felt in full force on the finish. Great mix of the fruit to the other ingredients.

Mild fruit aroma, more peach than apricot, golden amber, small solid white head. Some apricot flavour, hint of wheat. Tart and dry, light bodied. Fair.

Reddish-gold colour with a small head. Sweet & somewhat cloying aroma of apricot and peach. Moderate carbonation, thin mouthfeel. Flavour has light apricot & malt notes, and not much else.

I can see from my notes, I did not like fruit beers then, and I like them less today. To sweet, to much malt and not enough hops.
