3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I saved the first 8 Alley Kat Dragon Series to taste them all together. I don't know if the series is done, but I can't wait longer as the first few are getting old. So here goes...
Bottle to pils glass
Strong tropical flower aroma, lemon, and a mild hoppiness. Yellowish amber with a long lasting white head. Sweet and hoppy.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Sugarbowl, pours a clear golden copper with a medium white head. Nose brings out lots of herbal hops, cereal malts, and feet. Flavour is quite clean, with herbal hops, feet, and cereal malt. Odd flavours but Iím quite enjoying this. Unique and balanced, with a dry palate. Great stuff.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear pale amber with two fingers of loose rocky white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is pithy grapefruit, resin, caramel malt, floral, catty. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (3/5)
Somewhat of a one-trick pony: sharp, though not excessively so, and nowhere near as catty as I was expecting for Simcoe single-hopping. A little less rich and complex as the White Dragon (Chinook) but not bad overall. (12/20)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear golden, aroma is simcoe but it super light. Crystal malt and easy too little simcoe, not sure how you make this so boring but here we are

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is earthy, clove, lemon grass and crystal malts. Honey and caramel on the nose. Taste is a medium deep malt body with a fairly well balanced hop profile. For 75 ibus it is very smooth. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains ok.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I look forward to Alley Katís Dragon Series because they are always excellent. This one has the typical clear golden pour with a nice foamy head. I havenít had many IPAs single hopped with simcoe so this was a treat. Has subdued citrus hop flavours and a lovely grassy bitterness. Awesome!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dragon night! Pours a clear amber with a small sticky white head that lasts and leaves small traces of lace up the glass. Aroma is fruity, citrus, and a bit perfumey. Taste is grapefruit, perfumey, tropical fruits, mid-high sessionable bitterness and a good malty back bone like most of the Dragon series.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light orange with half centimeter of white bubbles. Aroma is lovely - tropical fruit, flowers. Taste lacks some of the brightness of the aroma - grains are one dimensional and a little cardboard-y. Punchy bitterness. Not too much sweetness. I think I like these hops, but maybe not this beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - Vintage 2011 - Surprising amount of aroma considering itís age, citrus orange and spice. Clear orange with a nice thick head. Tropical fruits and alcohol, and did not hold up well. I would expect more from an Imperial IPA.
