poured with a gold colour that wasn't dark or light. head was white and decently thick. retained pretty good with an etched glass. scent showed good hops and citrus. flavour reflects the hoppy smell, and has a wee bit of malty goodnesses.

Originally rated 09/29/11. Fresh Hop variety. Pours a really dark amber. Really clear, little carbonation, and very little head. Sticks to a nice cap and leaves great lacing. Up front the smell is rather nutty. Doesn’t smell that different from the regular fullmoon. Its got this kind of, I know its wrong but, cheesiness. I don’t know how to explain it. its weird and always there in their bottled beers. Little bit of bright sweetness. Not much bitter or resinous hops coming through tho. Definitely not piney. Taste is very pleasant. Its like a very bright regular version, very tasty. Its got a lot of orange characteristics, a decent amount of bready malt in there. The orange hop character is rather sweet. The bitterness seems more prominent than in the Full Moon, but its tasty. No alcohol, 5%, but the beer is balanced. That weird funkiness from the smell is there a bit in the taste, it disappears rather quick. The mouthfeel is medium and is really quite smooth, not very much carbonation. Just a fresher version of the regular.

The pour is a bright coppery bronze with a thick two fingers of an off white head. Some sticky lacing rings form quickly. The nose is of sweet caramel and light bread with a beautiful full hop note. A fresh, grassy hop and slight grapefruit. Sweet and sticky in the middle with a full grapefruit hop and light caramel malt. A prolonged hop bitter with a moderately resinous quality. The mouthfeel is sticky and resinous with a medium body. Overall, a good prolonged hoppy taste. A definate improvement to the full moon. Earlier Rating: 8/1/2008 Total Score: 3.5 Had ina bottle at Bottlescrew Bills calgary, AB. Pours at startling bright copper golden colour with aaverage sized head. An aroma of citrus and fruit is present. Hints of grass and predominantly citrus are first acknowledged. The beer tastes sweet and citrussy with a substantial but not overpowering hop taste. A very good pale ale and a drinkable crisp clean beer. Yet another great beer from Alley Kat. I hope to try the barley wine next.

Draft at The Sugarbowl. Pours clear orange, thin head, very weak lacing. Nose is earthy hops, light citrus, soap, clean cereal grains. Flavours of dusty hops, nice spice throughout, bitter earthy finish. Seems a bit thin, but pleasant enough.

341mL bottle pours a hazy golden-orange color with moderate white head that settled to a thin lacing. Aromas of floral hops and grain. Taste is big hop with some malts to balance the flavor. This is probably one of the best pale ales to be found in Canada.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 thb (481) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 17, 2011
Pours clear copper with not a lot of head. Hop aromas that come to the front are grass/resin. Solid caramel malt backbone. Bit of biscuit in there too. Punchy hop bitterness. Seems a bit heavy on the hop bitterness vs. the hop aroma for the style. Mouthfeel is maybe a touch thin. I want to like this more than I do.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SHIG (2697) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JUL 11, 2011
Draught: Poured a hazy caramel brown with off white color head. Aroma was mostly hops and light malt. Taste was a gritty hops with malt to give it character.
