Pours a clear golden yellow with a healthy frothy white top. Aroma is a lot of german malts and nobile hops. Taste is a pretty good malt profile of german malts. Lightly hopped. Solid beer. Thanks to boney for this.

gramity (1057) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 15, 2011
Clear golden-amber appearance with thick head that quickly disappears but leaves decent lacing. Smell is sweet with a hint of caramel and bread. Picked up citrus and nuts as well. Taste is sweet with a strong taste of caramel. Fortunately, this doesn’t go overboard with sugar. Picked up malt and bread as well along with nuts and fruit (orange?). Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. After taste is an alcoholic sweetness.

341mL bottle poured a clear pale amber color with about 1 finger of head and mild lacing. Aroma is of lightly roasted malts and grassy hops. Taste is initially lightly sweet with some spiciness followed up by a long hop bitterness in the finish and mild alcohol burn. Overall, this is a very well done Maibock. This brewery is now putting out some outstanding specialty and seasonal brews.

Powertrip (999) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 17, 2011
Single bottle purchased at Co-op Liqour Store in Calgary, AB in May 2011. Colour: A nice warming orange with hints of gold. Low white head. Nose: Speaking of oranges - an abundance here, snappy malt, a sutle butterscotch after much swirling. Small hint of lemon. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium sour, light bitter. Young and lively malt dominant, mustard seed. Very biting but full of character. Slight soap note on finish. Quite good.

660ml brown bottle. Dark golden pour, clear. Small thin layer of foam on top with minimal lacing. Aroma is of German malts, bready, grainy. Flavour has a lot of rich malt up front, grains, bread, some sweetness, slight grassy note. Faint bitterness in the finish, hints of grass and a bready and grainy malt aftertaste. Carbonation and mouthfeel are average. All around a nice Maibock.

Beautiful clear dark amber pour with a creamy coloured head. Heavy aroma of malt. Taste of malts. As the beer warmed a toffee and caramel taste came through, but a little to much too handle. Interesting beer that was average at best.

Bottle. I much prefered the previous Maibock from Alley Kat. Dark amber or medium copper. Light graing aroma. Lighted toasted wheat flavour with a lot of spice and herb. Just did not come across for me.

DuffMan (5197) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 15, 2011
Bottle. Deep amber gold, crystal clear, lasting bubbly white head. Very toasty aroma, metallic undertones. Nice toasted malt flavour backbone, some breadcrusts and brown sugar, maybe a hint of marzipan. Very tasty, and not a hint of the bigger ABV. Well done.

Sammy (7041) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2011
Much tastier when very fresh. European hops, pilsner malts and lagerish aromas. Lacey. Above average carbonation. Light toastiness, more prounced in bottle version. The bottled version yielded some yeasty taste. Drinkable. On tap at the brewery, and also combined the review with recent bomber shared with Presario.
