This is a great springtime beer. Deep orange with a thin head that dissipates. Bready notes, soft mouthfeel. A well crafted exmple of the style.

12oz bottle courtesy of brewgirlca. Pour is orangish amber with maybe a slight haze, lacings dissipated after half the beer was gone. Nose is malts and toffee - very british. Flavor is sweet cherry and peaches, some spices, malt, and alcohol. Reminds me of 3 Philosophers with a bit of a bock touch. Very, very good. 3.85

Beautiful bright orange amber, compact white head. Initially bready toffee aroma stands out, but as it breathes more soft fruit becomes apparent (cooked peaches, pears) as well as a little sweet spice. Delicious sweet toffee malt with a light fruity element that lends almost a tart quality to the finish that reminds me of a California common style. This is absolutely delicious-- abundant in flavour, and that interesting fruty tartness or acidity that lightens everything and makes this very drinkable. A great springtime beer to be sure!

Pours a dark caramel colour with a thin white head. A sweet bready malt aroma. Flavour is excellent but as presario suggests, don’t drink it too cold. It seems to comes alive at about 8°C (if my fridge thermometer is to be trusted).
An excellent beer for springtime evening drinking or to accompany something like a good roast chicken.

Bottle. Dark amber. Thin lasting head. Light intensity thick warm mild spice scent, almost have to climb into the glass to find. Very dry. A touch oily on the tongue. Same warm feel and taste as the aroma. Gentle sweetness. Almost like a springtime-winter warmer. Pleasant spice finish. Much better in a glass and cool not cold.

341ml brown bottle. Deep gold in colour, bordering on orange with a small white head. Sweet malt aroma with a touch of honey and trace of alcohol. Flavour is rich sweet malt with some caramel character, finishes with some light alcohol and trace grassy notes. Medium viscous body with mild carbonation.

Pours a dark pale (light amber) color with a white head... distinct sweet malty aroma... tastes of sweet malts, with a mild hoppiness, and slightly sweet maltiness. Outstanding!
