Schroppfy (1735), Ohio, USA Jan 10, 2004 Crackery, flowery, haylike and acrid arome ,- quite intense! Lingering head atop a sightly cloudy and hefty body. Some bitterness and a touch of sour in the flavors, some biscuity sweet - very good.
Moosington (15), Costa Mesa, California, USA Oct 11, 2008 Clear gold pour with standard lager head. Nose is very light and very floral. Flavor is mostly floral with minimal dry malty finish. Not my favorite. Maria (4461), Thisted, Denmark Oct 3, 2008 It’s a warm golden beer with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of flower and malt. The flavour has a light, smooth caramel sweetness, notes of flower, malt and it ends on a dry and slightly bitter note. It’s uncomplicated and charming. mkobes (2039), somewhere, New Jersey, USA Sep 21, 2008 On tap at Maxs German Beer Fest. Hazy orange in color with a nice fluffy white head. Hoppy, grainy fruity aroma. Spicy hoppyy grassy flavor. Crisp and refreshing. Smooth tasting. Medium bodied. Finish is hoppy. Very drinkable. Nice beer. Wal (5), Berlin, Germany does not count Sep 4, 2008 There is something beautiful about a 8 year old german boy with a big old stein of beer on the label. All this rubbish about alcohol is bad for kids, the sooner they learn the more responsible they are with it!
This beer has a dirty sour bitterness to it, almost a mustiness. almost like rolling up and smoking some of a mummy at the british museum. Deep amber colour bordering on piss. Feels like a beer and a cigarette at the same time, but leaves you with one free hand to scratch your balls. MrRain (317), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Aug 30, 2008 1/2 liter bottle poured into an English pint glass. ABB pours murky orange with a medium-sized head. It has a lager-ish smell that is fresh but watery. The body is pretty smooth and the taste mild. There is a heavy flavor of grains. This beer appears to be made with water that has a nice granite flavor in it. A lot of the other Allgauer beers hide the water flavor but this one is light enough to let it through. The finish is stealthy; the beer just slips away into the gullet with nary a farewell.
