Tmoney99 (4200), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2009 Bottle from Keg Liquor.
Poured clear golden color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted grassyaroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met. ryanknock (150), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 24, 2009 Toasty, biscuitty and light ale. Nose of toffee and toast, hints of apples and earth. The mouthfeel is thin and a little slick, notes of caramel, earth, toast, honey, corn. The finish is a little grassy, but like old hops rather than fresh ones. Authentic offering, but could use a flavor boost. Braudog (3574), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jan 11, 2009 This poured true to form with an amber color and a big head. The aroma is quite sweet and this drinks with an almost apple-juiciness, overtly tarty and fruity. (#3470, 11/2008)

Clear light orange amber with small white head. Somewhat malty flavor with spicy noble hop flavor. Somewhat more of a malty pils. TheBeerGod (3026), Newport News, Virginia, USA Sep 14, 2008 Bottle labeled as Allgauer Oktoberfest. Golden pour with a tall foamy white head. Nose is malt, grains, bread, soft honey, lemon, grass and creamed corn. Taste is bready malts, light yeast, soft lemon, honey, grassy hops and toast. Body is light-medium with a strong carbonation but not quite to fizzy status. Finishes with more creamed corn, semi-sweet malts, grassy hops, yeast, light lemon and toast. Not too bad. dkachur (1909), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 27, 2008 500 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse under the Allgauer Oktoberfest label. Kind of a sickly looking golden amber pour with a minimal head. Very corny aroma with some grassy notes. Very bitter grassy taste with some caramel sweetness poking through. Very effervescent, medium bodied. BückDich (4641), McCall, Idaho, USA Mar 3, 2008 Bottle: Amber color, light head and lacing. Nose of faint malty grains and some light lagery esters like a russian malt liquor might possess. The flavor has a nice mouthfeel with some full caripils notes and some munichy type malts. Overall it feels a bit adjuncted and maybe a bit too sweet.
