Cask conditioned, gravity poured at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Amber with slight head. Pongy, eggy, sulphery on the nose and the sulpher theme follows into the beer, quite sweet as well, just didn’t seem to be well balanced. Not really keen on this.

Cask at Battersea Beer Festival, 10th Feb 2011. Slightly murky amber. Somewhat off nose. Flavour is bready toffee with a lack of hops. Nowhere near as good as their Twitter & Busted. Okay palate. Forgettable.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival on 10 February 2011. Hazy dark amber appearance. Fairly malty aroma - a bit sweaty though. Sweetish on the palate with more fruity malt and subtle earthy hops. Only modest bitterness. Overall feel was quite traditional. Not bad but didn’t really grab me.

Cask Conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden beer with a whitish head and lacing. A biscuity beer with some crunchy cereal notes. Leafy hops. Perfectly pleasant but not Earth shattering.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Hairy farmyard malt aroma. Taste is slightly plastic sweet malt. Mid bitter finish. Actually I liked it more than this description suggests. Not sure why.

Cask @ Three Judges, Glasgow. Clear orange color, short head. Aroma has bit apple, some hop, bit earthy. Bit bitter taste. Mediocre.

On cask @ Three Judges, Glasgow. Orange colored brew. Aroma is citric, sour, not ok. Flavor is weak, citric, grape, mild alcohol, bad aftertaste, dishwater.

On cask @ Three Judges, Glasgow. The aroma is not good, has rotten vegetable. Golden, copper coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is slightly bitter, bit better than the aroma, but again those rotten vegetables.

Cask handpull at Market Porter. It’s a bitter. Decent hop on finish especially. Fairly decent. Copper colour, thin lasting beige head. Decent bitter which I quite liked though Tom liked the Bowman more.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Golden colour, off-white head. Aroma of vegetables, slight malts. Flavour of sweet malts, grassy hops. Slightly dry, fairly bitter.
