1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 sm89walt (1418) - Norwich, - MAR 16, 2010
Cask - White Cliffs Festival 2010, Dover. I’m with harrisoni on this one. Crunchie honeycomb all over this. Dominated both the taste and aroma, there was no getting past it. Sure, there’s nothing wrong with the smell and taste of a Crunchie... In a Crunchie. Just keep it out of my beer.

Cask (handpump) @ KIT - Kelham Island Tavern, 62 Russell Street, Sheffield, South Yorkshire England S3 8RW.
Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark caramel, light roasted, dark berry notes. Flavor is heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet licorice. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100118]
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ungstrup (23917) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JUL 27, 2010
Cask. A red-brown beer with no head. The aroma has strong notes of caramel as well as medium notes of nuts and tobacco. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel combined with medium notes of malt and butterscotch and a touch of alcohol, leading to a dry caramel finish.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 harrisoni (10067) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2010
Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2010. Black colour, ruby edges. Crunchie butter toffee aroma. Butterscotch. Horrible. I can’t drink it. The biggest diacetyl bomb I’ve ever come across.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2010
Cask. Pours a dark brown - close to black - with an orange hue and a small off-white head. Nose is vaguely buttery first but then comes burned caramel, dried fruit and wood. Quite full-bodied, flat, raisins and woody notes with a warming alcohol finish. 180110
2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - FEB 10, 2010
Dover Beer Fest 2010. Diacetyl bomb from the cask. Bright bottled and left for a few days and this has settled down, though is still quite buttery. It’s a strong premium bitter - quite traditional, some creamy toffee malt with a robust bitterness. Acceptable without being exciting.

Cask Handpump at the Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield 16/01/2010
Big fruit aroma. Black strong in alcohol fruity and a little rich on the palate with a hint of dryness in a crisp and bitter finish.
