Cask Handpump at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool 16/02/2007 Copper mid brown coloured with some sour fruit flavour. A little bitterness and dryness in a full malt finish.

Cask at The Friendship, Manchester. What a strange beer. Looks gorgeous - dark ruby with a yellowy cream head that lasts throughout. Malty aroma that grew as the pint warmed up. However, the taste is just the weirdest flavour imaginable - exactly like sage and sausagemeat stuffing. Not unpleasant but completely unexpected and, well, weird. Good long bitter finish and a decent palate without being too heavy. No more than one in a session, though, with that flavour.
