Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Smells mulled - sweet and clovey. Weird. Sweet, soft and slightly rubbery in the gob. Smooth. Some rosehip, slight berry and perhaps some orange. A nod to medicine. Not convincing.

Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spices, spicy christmans spices, cinnamon, cloves. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spices. IMO to spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091227]

Cask@Market Porter, London. Amber colour, beige small foamy head. Aroma is xmas cookies, sweet malts, some slight caramelly notes as well as mild nuttyness. Flavour is fruity, a bit Xmas cookielike aong with some spices and wood.

Cask conditioned at The Market Porter, Borough, London. Reddish chestnut with slight head. A nutty, dryish bitter, full roasty body with a sweetish fruity note in the background. Reasonable.
