Taste is flat and sweet. Starting with a thin body it goes down with a flat feel. Finish comes in with a sweet German malt taste then fads out bland. This is a flat, bland, disappointment of a brew. I don’t think I will ever try another one of there beers. MrEcted1 (144), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 3, 2006 Blech, not a very good German lager, very lackluster in all categories. Light hazy straw yellow in color. It’s like they took an average german lager and watered it down with dirty water or something. Almost non-existant head. Take Coors Light and add a hint of German Lager and you have this beer. The bottle is pretty cool looking though (the glass for the bottle is cobalt blue) which is what made me buy this cuz it stuck out (and it’s cheap) but i’ll definitely never purchase this one again. ratman197 (3275), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Aromas ofbread, honey and a hint of lemon. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, yeast, honey and a hint of lemon with a crisp, mildly bitter finish. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 30, 2005 Bottle best by 2003. Pours hazy, murky dark gold with minute fizzy bubbly white head. Yeast (dough, sweat) malt (meal, cookie) and citrus hop (lemon) aromas with grapes and pear notes. Watery sweaty yeast with pear flavor, malty and fizzy fruity finish that goes slightly dry. Medium bodied and thin, watery fizzy palate. Aubrey (2782), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 8, 2004 Cloudy and deep yellow with a thin, fading head. Decent nose, with notes of apples and lemons. Soft and chewy mouthfeel with a nice carbonation level. Malts were a little doughy, with a pinch of yeast mixed in. Mild lemon flavors. Hops were mild (herbs, grass) and only lightly bitter, but they dried out the mouth quite a bit. Drinkable, but not really exciting. wilkie (1193), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 8, 2004 Cool looking blue bottle. THat is about all that is good though. Paper thin head. Pale golden, slightly hazy appearance. Aroma is slight hops and rubber. Has a bit of hops up front in the flavor, and a bit of malt, but overall it isn't that great. I would pick it over bud or genital herpes (see previous blues lager ratings). Ron (1040), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 3, 2004 Small head with a pale color to body. Overly hoppy taste for a standard lager. notalush (2699), Denver, Colorado, USA

If I had the choice between drinking this beer again and getting genital herpes, I would opt for genital herpes. Man, this is Germany’s answer to Budweiser, only I would rather drink Bud.
