The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong and spicy, also fine hoppy. In the background some metallically notes. Round finish - good beer!

Light hazy gold, dry cereal aroma. Dry, bready, little heavy and creamy, not bad.

Bottle, bought @ Ambrosetti, Berlin.
Pours clear golden with a small, foamy white head. Powerful grassy aroma, some caramel and bready malts. Medium carbonation, lovely mouthfeel. Flavour is quite fruity, lots of apples, some oranges. Fine, grassy and hay-like hops note. Very fresh and very drinkable.

500 mL bottle from State Line Liquors. Pours a clear orange amber color with a medium head. Average head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet grainy malts and caramel. Slight hay as well. Taste is fruity with notes of plum and apple as well as hay and some very faint hop notes. Medium bodied.

No 641 19 12 2008 Bottle brown, 500 ml, Appearance pours deep, essential, full golden, slightly orangy body, body texture is hazy with some sediments in the body texture and texture strongly seems to be oily when you look through, head is initially huge, dense, snowy white, frothy, giving nice lacing, slowly decreasing to very small but keeping the lacing, carbonation is moderate, Aroma is moderate in its strenght, nice notes of grsnis, , malted barley, citrussy fresh hoppyness especially grapefruit, orange, fresh mashed grass, chalk, graphite, gently alcoholic background, apart from that hoppy profile is slightly flowery and gently sweet, kind of spicy, inviting, Flavour front is dusty, malty oriented at the beginning, than gentle bitterness from hops on palate and gentle alcoholic spicy taste, quite flat and neutral aftertaste being quite confusing as it is hard to judge if it is a good feater or not in that example, hoppyness becomes more and more present at the back of the tongue towards the middle of the beer, finish duration is quite neutral, hard to rate in general, Palate body is light, texture is oily, carbonation on palate is soft to medium, finish feel is very neutral, practically non existant, maybe slightly dusty and kind of dull or wattery, boring, the worst Helles Ive ever had and I had 7 of them

.5L Swing-Top bottle - Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes.

500ml bottle picked up at Stateline Liquors, MD. Slight haze in the golden-orange color. Minimal head. Malty, macro beer factory aroma. Definitely disappointing flavor-wise as well. Crisp initial mouthfeel quickly transforms into a malty sweet finish. A little yeasty subtlety in there, but not much...old bottle?

I had this one with Oldrtybastrd. This was good as most Helles are. Slightly hoppy with grain and an ease for drinkability. This is a simple but good beer.

bottle. Clear golden yellow, large white head. Malty nose. Malty, hoppy, slightly grainy. It strongly reminds me of boooring eurolager as mady by many big German breweries. Inoffensive but without any character.

Tap. Pours a clear gold with your usual helles head. Nose is heavy floral hops with grain. Flavor is the same, with a nice, smooth malt aftertaste. Not bad at all.
