great label on this "boooble" beer, it shows some traditionally garbed german kid holding an enormous crockery mug of beer-- he looks like pinochio after becoming a real boy, but gone somewhat astray. the actual beer, meanwhile, danced into my glass with a burst of exuberant alpen-white foam, capping a tortilla yellow pour. fresh classic german lager aroma: baguette and hay bail, hearts of celery. light malty sweetness and a tug of snappy saaz. very basic, refreshing in it's place, quintessentially german. trying biking from garmisch-partenkirchen to schloss linderhoff on a warm summer day and then polishing one of these. it'll seem like magic; otherwise, it's just a quaffer.

As far as Lagers go, I would have to rate this one as above average. Just not enough complexity going on for my liking.

Amber color, big frothy head. Malty, hoppy, bit vegetable-like aroma. Malty, almost creamy flavor with a good deal of hopbitterness. Medium bodied, just a bit flowery. Short bitter finish.

Bread dough,hay aroma.Medium blond appearance.Medium hoppy,honey,malt and bread flavors.Mild hop sweet aftertaste.

Slight hop aroma. Smooth, good flavor. Has the typical light German taste. Bubbly, but not a big head, but thick and slowly dispersing. Malty flavor. Good beer.

bright golden color with a short-lived white head. aroma is slightly talcum powder and very mildly hoppy. flavor is of mild hops and perfumey.

Sweet grainy, hay-like nose. Deep gold color and a fizzy, thin head. Very light taste, somewhat like apple juice. Medium body - needs more hop character for sure.

Gras, parfume nose. Golden with a fizzy head. Malt and corn taste. Average normal brew.

The aroma is weak. I detect malt and hops. I can’t really say much more than that. It smells much like every other straight-up lager. Maybe some notes of straw. Crystal clear golden hue. Small, fizzy, white head. Quickly and almost fully diminishing. Decent lacing. Nothing really stands out in the beer’s flavor other than the perfect balance of malt and hops. Again, maybe a small burst of straw on the backside. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. A medium-length, crisp, clean finish. Dry with a hint of straw or hay at the wee end. A really good lager. However, I don’t really dig most lagers.
