Bottle brown, 500 ml,
Appearance pours deep, essential, full golden, slightly orangy body, body texture is hazy with some sediments in the body texture and texture strongly seems to be oily when you look through, head is initially huge, dense, snowy white, frothy, giving nice lacing, slowly decreasing to very small but keeping the lacing, carbonation is moderate,
Aroma is moderate in its strenght, nice notes of grsnis, , malted barley, citrussy fresh hoppyness especially grapefruit, orange, fresh mashed grass, chalk, graphite, gently alcoholic background, apart from that hoppy profile is slightly flowery and gently sweet, kind of spicy, inviting,
Flavour front is dusty, malty oriented at the beginning, than gentle bitterness from hops on palate and gentle alcoholic spicy taste, quite flat and neutral aftertaste being quite confusing as it is hard to judge if it is a good feater or not in that example, hoppyness becomes more and more present at the back of the tongue towards the middle of the beer, finish duration is quite neutral, hard to rate in general,
Palate body is light, texture is oily, carbonation on palate is soft to medium, finish feel is very neutral, practically non existant, maybe slightly dusty and kind of dull or wattery, boring, the worst Helles Ive ever had and I had 7 of them

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 nuplastikk (2445) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 22, 2008
500ml bottle picked up at Stateline Liquors, MD. Slight haze in the golden-orange color. Minimal head. Malty, macro beer factory aroma. Definitely disappointing flavor-wise as well. Crisp initial mouthfeel quickly transforms into a malty sweet finish. A little yeasty subtlety in there, but not much...old bottle?
