UPDATED: MAY 17, 2010 Bottle. Pale golden color. Flowery aroma with boiled milk. Malty sweet, flowery, even a bit perfumed flavor. Orange with a light hopbitterness in the aftertaste. Slightly disappointing. From tap this is a friendly helles that goes down quite well.

Dieses Export hat eine mittelmäßige Schaumkrone und riecht mild-süßlich. Geschmacklich ist es wässrig und malzig, ansonsten ist da nicht viel, insgesamt ist es nicht lecker nicht süffig und vorallem langweilig! Test vom 19.11.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,5,6,6,8,6 - 6,25

Bottle. Rocky but quickly dissipating head. Aroma is partly sweet and acidic - mainly grain, hay and minimal hops, some soap. Taste is a bit sweet but the bitterness is light to medium - quite allright considering it’s a helles. Grain, hay and metallic elements dominate the taste. Quite full bodied, average carbonation. Decent.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grassy, quite malty as well as some slight herbal notes. Flavour is bready malts, a bit sweet along with some floral and graassy hops. Pleasantly balanced.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.

Clear light medium yellow color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, sweet malt, light hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet brew mash, grassy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Golden yellow color, decent white head. Cardboard, green leaves, herbal hoppyness, metal, some grainy malts in the nose. Light to medium bodied. Herbal hoppyness, some sweet, even buttery maltyness. This is in the borderline for being a good beer instead of "just ok".

Tap. Sweet barley malt and light grass aroma. Clear golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet barley malt and moderately bitter grass hops flavor. Decent but nothing special.

Another beer I had months ago and can’t recall too well. Drinkable indeed but nothing special.

The bottle looks simple, but okay, the beer in the glass is very zippy, huge head. Starts malty and very dry, also metallically. But that changes quickly, the beer becomes hoppy and dry, not too much, also a bit sourish-fruity. Finish is spicy-woody, well balanced. Not bad!

bottle. Clear pale golden colour, large white head. Sourish-hoppy nose. Malty background with woody-sour hop flavours and wet cardboard.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2009 500 ml bottle in Austria. Not a bad Helles not a great one either. A bit bitter for a helles but still very drinkable. The Algäu has better Helles
