Very basic for the style. Thin head, fainting quickly. Malty-corn aroma, slight caramel. Short and simple palate was expecting more.

Swing-top by 05.12. Nose is sweet with lightly caramel and spritzy grain. Clear golden with a fizzy off-white head. Malty taste with nice toasty notes and light grains in the aftertaste, floral hops and light bittersweet balance. There’s a little alcohol showing in the medium body, but otherwise this is an energetic offering.

Die Schaumkrone hält mittelmäßig. Es riecht Alkoholisch malzig, Geschmacklich: Wässrig, leicht süßlich, malzig aber nicht so gut abgewogen. Fazit: Net so gut und überhaupt nicht Weihnachtlich. Test vom 25.5.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,8,8,9,8 - 8,20

Herb-trockener und etwas muffiger Antrunk mit malzigen Beinoten. Die gegebenen Aormen sind disharmonisch zueinander, besonders das Malz wirkt muffig, die Herbe modrig und trocken erdig. Das Bier bleibt nun bis zum Ende gleich, Änderungen erfährt es nicht. Schlecht. 8/5/4/4/8/4

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel and hay. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body. 071210

The bottle looks good, really winter-like. Beer in the glass zippy, huge head. Starts spicy, a bit sourish, then more and more malty, flat, a bit mouldy. Not too drinkable. There are better winterbeers!

Bottle. Honey gold with a thin head. Aroma is mild hops with some spice. Flavour is quite spicy with some sweet malt. Finish is dry and a little bitter. Watery feel with medium to high carbonation

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden, smaller - quite stable - white head with a little lace; light to moderate papery-grainy nose with a tinge of hayish hops; moderate to strong dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; robust, dry bitter and sweetish finish, a bit tart and harsh in the aftertaste. Unharmonic, not very aromatic, but chunky.......

(swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big foamy white head. Sweet pale and slightly cara-malty aroma with a light touch of dough and draff. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with an almost crispy carbonation. Slightly cara-malty and bready taste with doughy notes and shy herbal hops; moderately sweet finish with a light level of bitterness. Clean but also a bit boring brew. Most probably identical to the Allgäuer Weihnachtsbier. 10.XII.09

Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden with a small and somewhat rough white head. Lightly fruity and malty nose. Medium body, solid malt base with a surprisingly hoppy finih. 090609
