COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale was inspired by the Latin fruit markets of San Francisco’s Mission District. Brewed with farmhouse yeast for character, unrefined piloncillo for complexity, and a blend of ripe plums to capture the last days of our Indian Summer. Finally, it’s dry hopped with Amarillo & Cascade hops for a bright citrus peel aroma. Enjoy with flaky white fish, firm sheep’s milk cheeses & citrus infused desserts.
Brewed with 1,000 lbs of organic San Joaquin Valley plums from Twin Girls Farm in Yettem, California and organic wheat from Massa Organics in Glenn County, California. 7% ABV 29 IBUs 750ml bottles

This had been on my wish list for quite awhile. Saw it at Blue Palms on what may be the final day. Decided it was the right time to splurge. Poured light orange. Solid plum taste without being overly sweet. Solid Belgian taste. Worth it.

bottle thanks to bhensonb. poured a goldish color with a white head. Aroma and flavor were citrus, pepper, and a gentle touch of plums. The pepper was just sticking out to me more than anything. body was light and fizzy.

750ml bottle pours a clear, bright orange with one ring of white head. Nose is neat, tons of plum, some funky cheese, sugary, Belgian yeast, candy, apples. Flavor is acidic, plum, candy, grassy, grainy. Medium bodied, tart finish. Great nose, weird flavor.

750mL thanks to nimbleprop. Clear golden with a medium yellowish head. Nose is sweet esters with banana and hefeweizen yeast moving to sharp phenols. Taste is tangy, super carbonated, odd phenols and anesthetic cloviness. Tangy, sweet, medicinal palate. Hard to enjoy. Headache inducing plastic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by nimbleprop. Pours clear orange with an average, frothy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is fruity esters and plums, cookie and biscuit malt, light alcohol and hops. Flavor is malt forward with fragrant hops, plums, and light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation, low warmth.

On tap at City Beer, SF, with my sis. Pretty vibrant pour of deep amber with a mild fruity hue in the center. Vigorous carbonation, nice retention. Nose was fairly nice, with a healthy dose of yeast along with some spicy hops, hints of funk, and fairly understated plums. Medium body, with the carbonation not too obtrusive. Allows the enjoyable flavors to emerge a bit more than they otherwise might, and I enjoyed the interplay between slightly overripe plum, esters, and now bright, now bitter hops. In retrospect, I should have grabbed a bottle of this.

Excellent stuff. Nose is unripe plum, wheat, and grass. Flavor is classic Saison with the unripened plum sneaking in on the finish to make it nice and tart. I really dig this brew.
