COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This barrel-aged ale is a celebration of the California autumn harvest. Brewed with heirloom pumpkins from La Tercera Farms in Bodega Bay, crisp Fuyu persimmons from Hamada Farms in the San Joaquin Valley and fresh ginger from the Santa Clara Valley, then aged for over a year in white wine barrels to create a deliciously complex wild ale. Enjoy with delicate white fish and roasted squash.

Bottle shared by Jack. Cloudy orange yellow with a soapy fizzy white head and lace. Nose is light spice, ginger, citrus, sage, light sour pumpkin. Flavor is similar, light sawdust, lemon juice, dusty, gourds, white wine, slightly bracing acidic finish. Good stuff overall.

Bottle from Tooch4321...thanks Adam! - Pours light amber with a thin white head. Nose is white grape, light stone fruit, and a vinegar tartness. Very nice. taste has lots of Smarties tartness, white grape, and a pleasant tropical fruitiness. Not sweet--mostly just a quenching tartness. Not getting any pumpkin at all. Thin and medium-carbonation. Fantastic.

Bottle... Berliner Bash on the Bay 2013… Hazy, lightly golden pour with a tiny, brief head. Both the flavor and aroma are funky, fruity, bready and lightly sour. Medium-bodied with dancing carbonation. Bready, tangy and dry in the finish. Bottle courtesy of the always-generous burg326!

375ml bottle pours a hazy gold with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose is very interesting, there is some distinct pickled ginger, white grape, grass, lemon peel, some spice, herbal, some lychee. Flavor is nice too, well blended, some acetic acid, pickled ginger, some vitamin c tablet, some herbs, lime pulp, white grape. The earthy pumpkin/squash that is hinted at in the nose is lost in the flavor. Still tastes nice though. Acetiic finish.

375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden/amber with a lacy, white head. Aroma of tartness and funky notes, some light fruits and pumpkins and ginger, some malts, and light oak/wine notes. Flavor the same with a great sourness and blend of the fruits. Average texture. A good wild ale.

Golden-straw color, tons of white lace. Funky, citrus, tons of Brett. Lemon-lime tries to dominate the palate, yet can't cover up the funk. Good stuff.

THought it might be better than other pumpkin ales but it is a duckin train wreck, waaay too much spice and then sourness, which is totally unnecessary.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head. The aroma is mango and strong funk. Light sour fruit and tartness, easy to drink really easy to drink. Very impressive

Still can’t really find the pumpkins, but this one is definitely fruity and refreshing. The wine barrel aging does this beer a whole lot of complexity, Overall, I find this to be a great beer. Mouthfeel is light bodied, highly carbonated and lip smacking from the fruit and tartness. Drinkability is high.
