This barrel-aged ale is a celebration of the California autumn harvest. Brewed with heirloom pumpkins from La Tercera Farms in Bodega Bay, crisp Fuyu persimmons from Hamada Farms in the San Joaquin Valley and fresh ginger from the Santa Clara Valley, then aged for over a year in white wine barrels to create a deliciously complex wild ale. Enjoy with delicate white fish and roasted squash.

Tap at Library Alehouse. Fiancť says it tastes like a sour version of NG Apple Ale. Pours clear golden. Wispy white foam. Nose is bright chardonnay and Russian River style sour blonde with mild Acetic and buttery oak. Sharp nectarine like temptation within more assertive fruitiness. Great lactic palate. Russian River level here nose joke. Superlative key lime lactic palate. Heavy seedy berry, bright nectarine. No off flavors. Wow.

Pale golden color with a frothy off white head that leaves plenty of lacing. Indistinct sweetness, some citrus on the nose. Persimmon, ginger, citrus that flows into a wave of sourness. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Really nice beer but seems to be losing some of the fruit notes.

375mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Nose is very complex, with notes of oak barrels, light ginger and some persimmons -- very wild and complex. Flavour is an usual blend of notes -- including the persimmon, pumpkin and ginger, followed by oaky white wine notes. Very complex, cohesive and drinkable. Medium-high carbonation is appropriate here. Excellent.

"I was curious about the veggies used in this one, but it was actually the use of white wine barrels that made this one unique. Lightly fruity and spicy, not as funky as the Reserve 1, but more on the funky saison side of wild. Enjoyable and refreshing."

Bottle: Muddled golden color, murky with an off-beige foamy that quickly reduces to a small collar. Musty, sour citrus aroma. Lemon, lightly vinous, leaning more towards white grape than red. A little bit of booziness & a hint of wet oak tingling towards the finish. Iím guessing the citrusy aromas are from the persimmon, but I smell nothing resembling pumpkin or even ginger. The taste certainly has some ginger, though. Mild ginger root, acidic white grape, orangey citrus (persimmon, Iím sure). Lacto yeast provides nice tartness but doesnít go into fully sour territory. Mild acidity in the finish with a kick of Monark apples. Slightly sharp, well carbonated body. A pretty good sour ale, though I would have liked to see a little more of the ginger spice & pumpkin.

At The Common Table with Jacob, Justin, and Cody. Pours murky yellow orange with a little bubbles. Aroma is big nice juicy orange pulp hint of acidity. Taste is funky fruity pulp.

Bottle thanks to the local group for sharing. Pours a cloudy light orange with a small foamy ring. Aromas are oranges, white wine, lemon, and sour red fruit. Taste is a mix of citrus, white wine, and vinegar. Stinging carbonation. Moderately sour. Solid.

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, fruit, pumpkin, light herbal notes, and faint lemon peel. It pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a very fine ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus and a touch of fruit. The finish has lemon, white wine, and a hint of spice (I canít pinpoint it as ginger). Itís light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow/gold with white head. Sour fruits-lemon mainly. I donít get the pumpkin or wine but this is very good.

Bottle shared at LeviLOL tasting. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Really nice tart nose. Soft tartness. A bit earthy and really smooth. Cool beer.
