Ale Aged In Wine Barrels With Strawberries and Nectarines When summer comes to Californiaís Farmerís Markets, the stands explode with mountains of mouth watering stone fruit and plump strawberries. This was a delight. Thank you to Bythemises. Aroma is marvelous with lemon juice, strawberries, tart nectarine, and some barnyard funk. Pours hazy blond with lots of bubbly. Taste is nice with tart nectarine, some barnyard, underripe strawberry and slight barnyard. Taste is a little more subdued than the nose let on but it was still a joy. A little overcarbonated which was kind of distracting. All in all, one of the best sours Iíve had in a while.

Nice dark straw like coulor with a little hint of red in it. Thereís a thin but resilient head of foam. The aroma is pleasant and gives away a bit of the sour that awaits. I get a bit of the nectarine as well. This starts out as a pretty typical sour but finishes with se nice sweet notes and whole the sour never goes away it also isnít overpowering. Very good and very drinkable. The wife even likes it!

375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden/amber with a lacy, white head. Aroma of strawberry, sourness and funkiness, pale malts, and light wine and fruits. Flavor the same with a good amount strawberry. Average texture. A good beer.

Summer 2013 vintage, 375ml bottle into a HF wine glass. Despite letting it calm in the fridge for a few days it pours a hazy amber color. Strawberry blonde? A finger of lasting super sticky bone white foam. Aroma is tart and juicy. More of a generic fruit smell then individual fruits but it is fresh and amazing. That fruit blends seamlessly into white wine, musk, lemon rind, and some bready malts. Taste is tart strawberries and sour nectarine juice. Finishes dry and bready with some barrel, light spice, and funky musk. Very delicious and quenching. Mouth feel is creamy and full with a lasting lactic acid coating. This is an incredibly impressive wild ale.

Pours a hazy yellow and has a quickly dissolving head. The aroma is of a pleasant mild funk, berry like fruit, apricots, oak, and very weak grape notes. The flavor is crisp, medium acidity, sweet citrus tangerines, oak, light malted grain taste, and a nice berry kick from the strawberries. The finish is acidic, dry, of grains, and leaves a cross between citrus and berry like fruit taste in my mouth. Overall nicely done, a solid beverage.
