Ale Aged in Wine Barrels With Cara Cara Oranges, Meyer Lemons, and Buddha’s Hand Citrons. This tart, citrus-infused wild ale is the story of a farm. In 1921, Shotaro Hamada founded Hamada Farms in the San Joaquin Valley. Today, his grandson Cliff manages 235 acres of bountiful land. Brewed with a tantalizing blend of Hamada’s winter citrus - Tart Cara Cara Oranges, sweet Meyer Lemons and fragrant Buddha’s Hand Citrons - This refreshing ale is aged in used wine barrels for over a year.

Bottle thanks to Barlow. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A light tart yeast nose with some oranges. The flavor is rosemary, woody, tart, oranges and lemon. Very unique and good. Quite drinkable.

Bottle, 07/23/2013. Pours golden straw yellow, medium fizzy head sticks around for a minute or so before dying to the surface, leaving dense soapy lacing. Aroma has bright lemon with secondary orange notes, tropical mango, minty brett with vinous finish, sangria-like. Taste is bright tart lemon, much more intense than in the nose and not quite balanced, lactic sourness with lime, tangy green apple, some grassy notes, lingering oak. Light body. Pretty nice.

Bottle to plastic cup :( Citrusy sour, heavy lemon, a tinge of honey, and mango and brett as well. A cloudy and ver effervescent yellowish amber with a 1cm frothy head (a lot of this may be due to my choice of vessel). The first sip leaves the mouth puckering which recedes leaving a wobbly tinge but a sensation of sweetness as well. The second sip isn't as pronounced with the sourness and it becomes easy drinking after this. I love how this beer makes my mouth salivate. So cool.

Bright golden yellow body, medium white head, spotty lacing. Bright Meyer lemon takes center stage, sprite, and blood orange. Flavor is more muted than the nose. Medium to light bodied, lively carbonation, juicy finish that lingers.

Bottle shared by Tony. Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Citrus aromas. Big lemon and citrus notes. A wacky undercurrent that makes me think of water from a cactus plant. NOt overly tart or acidic. Average body and mouthfeel.

Bottle split with Keith, pours hazy bright golden with light head, minimal lacing. Aromas and flavor of ultra tart lemons, zesty orange juice, lactic funk, pink lemonade, and white vino. Refreshing, zippy, and tart as hell. Good drink.

Bottle split at Craft Clerko Tasting, thanks to Aaron, 08/07/13. Hazed golden with a thin off white head. Nose carries herbal tones, spice, bitter fruits, bitter orange, light sour tones, menthol. Taste comprises orange pith, farmy, grass, lemon rind, spice, hint of liqourice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light bitter tarte notes in the finish. Sour light. Ok stuff but I’d prefer a little more puckering/tarteness.
