COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspried version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

Bottle: golden pour with a finger of white head that fades away. Light scent of brine, some hints of tart. There are some tart notes in the taste, a little bit of earthiness, but it finished crisp and a little salty. Refreshing.

A 22 fl oz bomber poured into a pint glass. There is a batch number or date or something, but that’s been rubbed off such that unfortunately, its not legible… The beer poured a clear golden colour with a two finger white head that dissipates quickly leaving only some light lacing. NOTE – actually that was until I poured the final 1/8 of the bottle into the glass later on after which it turned a milky haziness which to be honest did not look too good at all. Aromas of tart lemon and honey stand out, with also some hints of coriander. But occasionally, there was some in my opinion slightly unpleasant smell I can only describe as dank. I can’t really put my finger on why, and it was only occasional, but it was there. Taste was much better than the smell, and it began with tart and sour, mainly crisp apple and lemon. This was followed by some sweetness of honey and vanilla. Then finished with a nice long lasting salt aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Overall, it actually taste quite good and I enjoyed it, but the milky haziness look wasn’t too nice and the occasional dankness aromas that creep in bring it down a bit for me.

Perfect gose. A wonderful green apple tart aroma. Flavor of light acid and more sour light fruits. Mellow barnyard balance with a touch of minerals on a dry dry finish.m

Pours a light copper color with a medium tart aroma. Taste is dry, citrusy, with a light lemon flavor. No distinct aftertaste, a light refreshing beer that is great for being under the sun.

Gose has become one of my favorite styles over the past two seasons, and this is the most unique one I’ve had. Golden pour with nearly no head, carbonation is on point though. Tart lemon flavors, along with wheat malt and coriander. Subtle salt presence. Faint apple-esque note. Almost wine-like. Very interesting, but refreshing nonetheless.

Deep golden color. Dry slightly salty nose with low hops and a touch of honey. Slightly tart, honey hay and salt. Smooth full bodied mouth. Nice lingering salty finish.
