COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspried version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

draft at ginger man, this was unique, moderate saltyness and tarted like a berliner. A little off, couldnt quite place it. Still, charming.

Almanac Golden Gate Gose, bottle from Whole Foods, Lynnwood
Hazy golden color, medium sized frothy head. Nice aroma, saline, funky, mineral; very lively. Highly carbonated (maybe too much); delicate flavor, a bit bready, lemony; it has a pleasant, delicate degree of acidity, very light spices; there is some perception of salt in the final.
Very drinkable beer; the aroma is more interesting, the flavor is more ordinary.

From the December 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a crystal clear bright golden color with a medium sized soapy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was must, pepper, cracker, salt and a bit of tangy golden fruits. The flavor was tangy, salty and tart with sugar, golden fruits and bubblegum. Very long finish. Medium body. Very nice.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2014 Bottle... Pours clear and yellow with no head. The aroma is grainy and touch soapy. Medium-bodied with stinging carbonation. The flavor is mostly nondescript - grainy and yeasty. The much-anticipated acidity and salinity just aren’t here. Short, crisp finish. Refreshing anyway. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!

Bottle from HOTB. Pours a partly cloudy pale orange yellow with a slight white head. Aroma of spices, flowers, light sour aroma. Taste is sweet with a hint of sourness. Not a good example of the style. Not very enjoyable to me.

Color cobrizo pálido, espuma blanca ligera. Aromas cítricos y fruta verde. Cuerpo ligero, inicio afrutado de acidez fresca y moderada, ligera salinidad y final seco. Muy rica

650ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, reinforced, half-way lasting, white head. Fruity aroma has notes of lemon and yellow apple, salty-herbal background, a touch of coriander and peppery spicy yeast. Taste is slightly tart, lemon juice tartness, a coriander note, a minimally salty touch, fruity hints of apple and quince (at one point there’s nothing else but the flashing up of insipid, plain bitter hoppy Erzquell Pils right before closing hour in the no longer existing pub "Zur Bierpumpe" in K.; amazing - terrifying!). Refreshing, light, slightly too well-behaved.
