COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspried version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

Nose has lots of sweet pear and apple, and some saison yeast funk. Tangy and refreshing on the palate. Flavor is tart versions of the fruits from the nose, salty, belgian yeast notes, and lemon verbena. Not super complex, but more so than most so-called summer or lawnmower beers, to which I offer this as an alternative. Probably too salty and tart for many, but I like it.

Bottle. Cloudy, milky straw color. The bubbly white head dissipates quickly. Strange aroma. Sweet pear, lemon verbana, coriander. Soft smokiness; wheat. There’s also a strange note I can’t put my fingers on -- mushrooms, maybe? The flavor replicates the nose, though it’s a bit sweeter. Coriander and pear up front; a tiny bit of salt in the back. Mild floral bitterness. Not like any gose I’ve had. Good coriander flavor. Maybe needs more salt.

Clear golden color with very little head. Seriously funky aroma with woody notes. Tart and a bit bitter flavor with an herbal aftertaste. Kinda unusual.

Bottle. Golden and clear. Slightly sour. This was both a new brewery and a new style for me so I approached with some trepidation.. A bit sour but quite pleasant although I wouldn’t try the style again.

Bomber. Aroma is dough, wheat, lacto, floral, faint bubblegum. Pours clear golden with a thick white head with great retention; leaves a little lace. Taste is tart (ranges from 7-8/10 on a sour scale), wheaty, lemon, light salt noticeable in the finish. Somewhat sudsy mouthfeel, light body. Simple, clean, crisp, refreshing. I could drink this all day long. Put it in cans!

Tap at Tin Bucket A: Clear orange, white head, plethora of bubbles. N: Lactic acid, lemon rind, cracker,a touch of salt, and coriander. Not particularly complex. T: Lightly tart, some saltiness, light bitterness. M: Light body, soft carbonation. O: Decent Gose. Not too complex, and I would much prefer Gose Gone Wild.

Pours out a somewhat cloudy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is some funky tartness, light wheat malt, mild funky tartness, some light detectable salinity. Taste is refreshing, some light tart funky notes, wheat malt, light spice, nice minimal amount of coriander, mild lemon zest and some salty notes on the finish. Tasty.

Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with thin white head. The salt comes through on the nose immediately, really does smell like the sea. This is combined with citrus notes and the saison yeast is very present as well. Base flavour is what you’d expect from a wheat beer, but with the sour tartness which comes through as a lemony citrus tang. Salt is there but is well balanced by the tartness. I can taste the saison yeast as well. Light mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Finish is slightly sour, salty with no bitterness.Very refreshing, drinkable Gose.
