COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspried version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

Pear nose with some lactic aroma. Green apple, and a tinge of macadamia nuts. Very tart dry finish.

Tap at BGM2. Frankly, it tasted more like a berliner weisse gone wrong than a classy gose. No coriander, no salt, just some regular sourness coupled with lots of acetaldehyde (green apples). Meh.

Tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours a clear yellow with a medium sized, White head. Aroma is surprisingly wheaty sweet with citric, unripe pear, unripe mango, citrus, pale malts and some coriander. Taste is also fairly sweet, but with a certain fruity tartness. Something minty going on as well. Slight salty in the after taste. Lactic, maybe with a hint of cheese. Overall not very intense in any way, but still a very different gose! Medium low carb and light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Notes of pear, Apple cider, herbal notes, pilsner malt, citrus and some grassy bitterness. Pretty good gose!

Golden, cloudy colour. Quite nice, white head. Wheat aroma with wild notes, acid and some bananas. Taste is also good as aroma so we’ve got acid, wildness, wheat and of course salt.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2015 BGM2 z kranu za 14zl 0,2l. Faktycznie czuc tu slona morska wode w aromacie i w smaku, połaczona z aldehydem octoweym - dla mnie raczej niepijalne...

Keg at The Kings Arms, Bethnal Green, London. Clouded lemon gold with white head. Initially quite refreshing, there is a light, lemony character, sweet and tart at the same time, herby, but then the saltiness takes over, becoming a bit of a strain. A short while ago I hadn’t had a Gose, now everyone is producing them.

Bomber at WoB Belmar. Pours a hazy yellow with a tall white head. Aroma is saline, floral, and slightly citrusy. The body is pretty full for a gose. I like this beer overall. It’s on the saltier side of the style, which is not a bad thing. There isn’t a lot of tartness, but plenty of citrus. There is a weird herbal thing in the middle which could well be the verbena. Pretty solid thirst quencher.

Draft at Atomic Liquors. Pours golden with a white head that falls quickly. Aroma is sour wheat and corriander. Flavor is clean up front, then caramel, lemon, sour wheat, earthy corriander and salt. A good amount going on.
