Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspried version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

On tap at McGillicuddy’s, Williston, VT. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a light transparent yellow color with some carbonation rising at a nice pace. No head and obviously no lacing. The smell started off with lemon, lime, lightly rimmed salt. The "sour-ed" wheat portion is extremely light but really good. The taste was sour through the wheat portion. Saltiness balances appropriately. Lemon and lime come back - slightly bitter yet tart. Nicely structured citrusy aftertaste. Finishes pleasantly balanced between the citrus and salt. On the palate, this one was definitely light bodied which gave it a great sessionability. Since the "sour-ness" is tame enough, the sessionability really becomes spectacular. Overall, if this is canned, I’d want cans for fishing this Summer. Really great gose!

Bought in a liquor store in Belmont, CA. Clear golden in the glass. Taste starts malty with citrus, in the second row some salty elements and sourness. Increasung citrus in the middle part. Getting dry to the end. A nice one of its kind.

Shared bottle at RB Crete tasting at Nikos place, Chania. Pours clear golden with a small head. Aroma is weak fruity, with yeast and spices. Taste is light dry fruity, almost impossible to detect salt here, just a delicious accentuation of the dry fruityness, nice.

On draft at Small Bar, Bristol. A classic example of a Gose -- slightly salty, slightly tart, but held together by a great balance that keeps everything light and refreshing. Maybe it was drinking it in the West Country, but it gave me a lot of cider flavor, like tart apples. Quite good.

Bottle. Moderate grain and straw for the malt, light grass and musty for the hops and yeast, with hints of vinegar. Head is small, fizzy, white, with no lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear, but murky on the last pour, light to medium amber. Flavor starts moderately to heavily acidic and acetic and a touch salty, then finishes moderately acidic and sour, and again salty. Palate is light, watery with a soft to lively carbonation and a tart finish. Not quite on the money regarding the style, but this Gose is plenty tasty for a go to beer.
