3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Capitol Cider. Color of cloudy cider, no head. What a fun refreshing beer. I wish I could drink this at 4PM on a hot day. Super balance. The lacto fermentation yields the type of sweetness of chewing on a stick of licorice root. The malts are light, lively and toasty. Salt is not apparent, only making the beer revitalizing. Great job.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A - pour a lightly hazy golden blonde with 1 finger white head that dissipates quickly. S - smells real nice. Lightly toasted French bread, Almond cookies, biscuits, Belgian yeast, and biscuity malts. Very nice subtle lemon verbena, lemon juice and sea salt. M - very lightly tart. Light carbonation. Very refreshing. Water mf but a very slightly thickness with lightly salty dry end. T - the front is lemon verbena and grasses. The palate is biscuity malts, dry mineral tones, almond cookies and simple sugar. End is lemon juice lingering on the lips, very slight citric acid, light cheese funk, sweet clover and salt. O - surprise from almanac. This is subtle and thoughtful and really drinkable. A nice change from the citric acid laden sours of theirs. 3.8

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours opaque golden amber, small white head, nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, bit of funk, yeast, herbs. Flavor much the same, herbal and citrus, faintest hint of salt, pink peppercorns. Saison like with light tartness. Medium body. Not bad, doesn’t seem that true to style, however.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hazy golden blonde with a crisp, frosty head. Aroma emanates noticeable salty and tartness Body is salted cardboard and a bit stilted. Quite tart as well. However, this one seems to be overly oxidated.Snap, crackle, pop stale "rice crispy" finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light yellow pour. This one is odd. Lacking in salinity and has a definite ginger ale note to it. It’s fairly refreshing but not a great example of the style.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
8 oz sample on tap at Preserve Public House. The aroma is rather faint. Light coriander is present along with some citrus tartness. Biscuit, too. Moderately opaque dark golden body with a medium, white fizzy head. Starts with mild lemon citrus hints, before a light funkiness (olive juice) is present in the middle. Finishes lightly salted. I also get a fair amount of papery and wet cardboard flavors in the middle. Meh, too expensive for what it is.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Brouwer’s. Pours a hazed golden yellow with a pillowy white head. Lactic tart nose, lemon, bit of peach, faint coriander, light grain notes in there. Balanced tartness up front, lemony, bit of soapiness guessing from the verbena, some acidulated malt toward the finish, but again pretty balanced throughout. Quenching and enjoyable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Zeitgeist, pours a clear pale golden yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out citrus zest and moderate salt. Flavour brings out loads of citrus notes, moderate salt, and German yeast. Pretty solid gose, but it’s a bit on the harsher side. Decent stuff.
