Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspried version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

Draft at Capitol Cider. Color of cloudy cider, no head. What a fun refreshing beer. I wish I could drink this at 4PM on a hot day. Super balance. The lacto fermentation yields the type of sweetness of chewing on a stick of licorice root. The malts are light, lively and toasty. Salt is not apparent, only making the beer revitalizing. Great job. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is sweet--and a little minty or something like that. Lightly tart, earthy, dusty. Subtle fruit.<br .> Flavor: Tart/lemon, subtle earthy flavor. Sweeter malt in aftertaste. Light on the salt.

Bottle. Golden beer with a white head. Sea salt and lemon aroma with light yeast. Tart and lemony flavor with light yeast and light wheat. Lighter bodied. Easy drinking and refreshing. Tartness and lemon lingers with light yeast and light spice.

Bottle shared with some science friends. Light yellow pour with a thick white head. Crisp and herbal nose. Taste is lemon, salty and a touch herbal. A good beer, but more on the subtle side of the style.

On tap in San Diego (CA)
Despite the allure of Russian River Blind Pig, tens of high quality local taps, and a dizzying array of bottles I began my trip to Toronado with this sessionable gose. A little more West Coast and a little less salty than some it still managed to please.

Aroma / Appearance - A bronze base filters only minimal sunlight. Lemons, sea salt chips, and orange glaze contribute to a sweet profile that is a bit unlike other examples of the style I’ve run across before.

Flavor / Palate - Sweet oranges and salt compete for center stage during the first few sips. Soon afterwards they melt in the throat like piles of snow on a warm sunny day. It actually tastes more like a white wine or champagne than a gose. That said there is more than enough flavor here to maintain interest all the way to the end of a very nice sour.

A- Golden yellow hue with a thin, off white head. s - indistinct yeastiness. t - peaches up front with a light bitterness that picks up and holds on all the way through the finish, begging for another sip. m- medium bodied, effervescent. d- overall a very drinkable brew. Light, tart, effervescent ... very good on a warm night.
