COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a beer made with real pumpkins. We hand-roasted over 500lbs of heirloom pumpkins from La Tercera Farms in Bodega Bay. The caramelized gourds were then added to our velvety American Barleywine and aged in brandy barrels for a year. Finally, we blended the barrel-aged beer with freshly brewed ale and added a delicate hint of pumpkin pie spices to round out this decadent autumn sipper.

Bottle share. Thanks Matt Reece/blackcloudlabel. This was poured into a sample flared pilsener glass. There was a nice light half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving a slight lacing roaming here and there. The smell had an authentic bourbon to vanilla sweet and somewhat pie - like/crust to light bread and even biscuit - like to an extent. The taste was mainly sweet and bready toasty /biscuity - ness roaming across my tongue. Light vanilla to roasty sweet aftertaste leading to a sweet and dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. There’s a light sweet carbonation about it. Overall, definitely a pumpkin ale I could come back to with extra compliments to it.

Stop it. Wtf is this sweet vegetable joose. Beer smells ok and reminds me of pie but the taste oh the taste.... Really sweet vegetable compost. Take broccoli trunk, potato peels, carrot tops, and pumpkin guts and put em in a bag with a lb of sugar and a cup of cinnamon and a bottle of brandy and let it ferment. You will get this. Thats what this is.. try it! do it! you wont do it!

Bottle. Hazy dark amber with spongy light beige head, strong pumpkin aroma, low cabonation, strong cinnamon flavor with alcohol undertones, long bitter finish. Quite strong and bitter.

Amazing brew, nice and sweet malty boozy barleywine, one of the best pumpkin beers ive had for sure, howeverbslight deduction for not aging well, saved two bottles for a year and recently opened one and it was infected. Still a lovely beer fresh, get this years!!!

Bottle: Vibrant, albeit deep shaded copper. Murky, topped with a small layer of gray-tinted foam. Huge pumpkin spice rack aroma. Nutmeg & clove being the easiest to pinpoint with lighters notes of cinnamon & allspice underneath. Toasty malt aromas meld with the spices to give off a mild graham cracker vibe. Again, huge spice on the palate. Nutmeg. Clove. Cinnamon. Allspice. You name it. Moderate undercurrent of boozy brandy adds a bit of warmth & sweetness. Finishing notes of toasted graham cracker, brown sugar, & heavy pumpkin spice. Slick, mildly oily body. A pretty enjoyable pumpkin spiced beer.

"Looks pretty...dark amber with ruby highlights. Nose will keep you coming back...understated brandy, spices and natural pumpkin, with some carmelized malts making their presence known as well, especially in the flavor. Smooth medium to full bodied palate and a wonderful flavor (nothing is over or underdone) that lingers. Probably the best I’ve had from them, and a top tier pumpkin beer."

Bottle... Hazy burnt-orange pour with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is a blend of caramel, toffee, oak and brandy with suggestions of autumn spices. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor is a warming, hearty swirl of brandy, caramel and toffee, accompanied by gentle notes of holiday spices. The finish is a lightly boozy, comforting hug that really warms my chest and belly.
