COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a beer made with real pumpkins. We hand-roasted over 500lbs of heirloom pumpkins from La Tercera Farms in Bodega Bay. The caramelized gourds were then added to our velvety American Barleywine and aged in brandy barrels for a year. Finally, we blended the barrel-aged beer with freshly brewed ale and added a delicate hint of pumpkin pie spices to round out this decadent autumn sipper.

Received in a trade with bytemesis and shared at Kennys tasting. Good stuff. All kinds of stuff going on here. Big pumpkin, cinnamon, spices. Big grins and malts. Big beer! Good one, too.

Bottle from Jeff (thanks, man!). Aroma of pumpkin spices (nutmeg and allspice cut through) and pumpkin pie filling. Pours sticky brown with very little head. Tastes exactly how it smells with just a little hint of a dirty barleywine. Piney hops cut in just a little. All in all, it tastes exactly how you’d think pumpkin barleywine would taste. No more; no less.

375 ml bottle shared by dudeabide. Pours a dark amber / copper color with a thin off white film. The aroma and flavor have big pumpkin with the usual spices, some alcohol on the nose for sure, some hints of chocolate toward the finish, a touch of earth. Some wood and a splash of the barrel. Pretty solid offering.

Bottle to sniffer (shared by dudeabide). Looks good for the style; a semi-transparent orangish brown with off-white lacing. Smells solid; pumpkin, spice, and brandy. Tastes like it smells, only better, with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Good beer!

12.7oz bottle, shared by dudeabide. Labeled 12.8%, I believe. Mostly clear red -orange color. Thin off-white head, leaves nice lace. Really nice roasty pumpkin nose. Awesome roasted pumpkin in the flavor, light on the spice. Just a lot of big pumpkin. Way less alcohol taste than expected. Just a light but pleasant alcohol warmth in the finish, no burn or bite. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, lightly spicy. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Very complex, tasty pumpkin barley wine. Very unique stuff. I love it.
