COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a beer made with real pumpkins. We hand-roasted over 500lbs of heirloom pumpkins from La Tercera Farms in Bodega Bay. The caramelized gourds were then added to our velvety American Barleywine and aged in brandy barrels for a year. Finally, we blended the barrel-aged beer with freshly brewed ale and added a delicate hint of pumpkin pie spices to round out this decadent autumn sipper.

On Tap 5oz pour at Elysianís Great Pumpkin Beer Festival 2013. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a medium tan head that leaves great lacing. Smells like an average barleywine with pumpkin, spices and brandy. Tastes like barlywin with a hint of oak, brandy, pumpkin, and spices. Mouthfeel is heavy and oily with good carbonation and a dry finish. Great pumkin barleywine which tastes awesome after being aged in a brandy barrel. Wish I could find this here in Washington besides just at the pumpkin beer festival.

Wonderful aroma of pumpkin, spices and malt. Taste is full body malt with a touch of pumpkin, vanilla an cinnamon. They high abv is very well hidden. A wonderful beer to sip on a cold fall evening!

Bottle. Hazy dark amber with spongy light beige head, strong pumpkin aroma, low cabonation, strong cinnamon flavor with alcohol undertones, long bitter finish. Quite strong and bitter.

Amazing brew, nice and sweet malty boozy barleywine, one of the best pumpkin beers ive had for sure, howeverbslight deduction for not aging well, saved two bottles for a year and recently opened one and it was infected. Still a lovely beer fresh, get this years!!!

Bottle: Vibrant, albeit deep shaded copper. Murky, topped with a small layer of gray-tinted foam. Huge pumpkin spice rack aroma. Nutmeg & clove being the easiest to pinpoint with lighters notes of cinnamon & allspice underneath. Toasty malt aromas meld with the spices to give off a mild graham cracker vibe. Again, huge spice on the palate. Nutmeg. Clove. Cinnamon. Allspice. You name it. Moderate undercurrent of boozy brandy adds a bit of warmth & sweetness. Finishing notes of toasted graham cracker, brown sugar, & heavy pumpkin spice. Slick, mildly oily body. A pretty enjoyable pumpkin spiced beer.

"Looks pretty...dark amber with ruby highlights. Nose will keep you coming back...understated brandy, spices and natural pumpkin, with some carmelized malts making their presence known as well, especially in the flavor. Smooth medium to full bodied palate and a wonderful flavor (nothing is over or underdone) that lingers. Probably the best Iíve had from them, and a top tier pumpkin beer."

Bottle... Hazy burnt-orange pour with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is a blend of caramel, toffee, oak and brandy with suggestions of autumn spices. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor is a warming, hearty swirl of brandy, caramel and toffee, accompanied by gentle notes of holiday spices. The finish is a lightly boozy, comforting hug that really warms my chest and belly.

Sweet with a thick palate. Mild brandy flavor, but the high abv is hidden in the flavor. Moderate amount of pumpkin, or, squash flavor generally.

Bottle thanks to my local group for sharing. Amber pour with very little head. Aromas are caramel, pumpkin, and lots of spices including ginger, cinnamon, and clove. Tastes like pumpkins and cinnamon. The other spices are there but muted. Get a little caramel apple in the finish. Good pumpkin beer. Abv well hidden.
