Our Honey Saison is a beer for all seasons. Brewed with Bay Area honey from Marshall Farms, wheat, California two-row barley, French oak and fresh, local ginger root for a hint of spice. Balanced with earthy Mount Hood and Saaz hops, this is a refreshing brew enjoyed best with your favorite seasonal fare.

Slightly sweet aroma. Taste is a little less yeasty which I actually like as im not a big fan off this style of beer. Slight hints of honey but not overwhelming which is what I was afraid of. Overall an ok beer (from a guy that really doesn’t like saisons.

Cloudy olden orange pour with a white head. Lots of honey, orange, and flower character. Nice sweet malt, some yeast, banana, and clove. Spicy clove, banana, honey, and bread flavors. Floral, mild grass, some light yeast, and a slight fruitiness. Something strange and perhaps un/underattenuated about the flavor and finish.

*New Recipe* Pours golden yellow with a white head. Honey, lemon, yeast. Pretty light mouthfeel. Easy to drink but not something I would drink on a regular basis. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a fairly pale gold. Moderately cloudy. Medium-sized off-white head. Ok retention, little lacing. Aroma has some crackery malt, citrus, some ginger zing, a light touch of honey and a bit of earthy saison yeast character. There also seems to be some French oak, which I think is a particularly difficult to use well and it’s not great here. Similar to Farmer’s Reserve No. 2, the ginger is subtle and well-integrated into the flavor. The honey is floral but a bit weak. The yeast character is fairly boring. Some band-aid sneaks in. Taste has more of that French oak flavor, which feels off for the beer. I’m not sure why, but it just seems to make the beer feel heavier with some musty spice and woody sweetness. A bit too much ginger in the taste. More band-aid. A bit more honey, but it’s less floral, here. The malt flavor seems dragged down by the ginger and oak. Some herbal hop character in the finish. Never really dries out as much as I’d like. Kinda heavy feel for a saison. Relatively low carbonation for the style. This is a disappointing saison. It sounds good on paper, but the beer doesn’t come together. I’d much prefer it to be drier and more refreshing.

This cloudy gold beer has a very mild aroma. It is a little bitter and I don't really taste the honey. Not a bad beer but not at the top of my list. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Great label. The aroma is spicy and slightly fruity. The flavor is a bit rough. There is the saison yeast, soft honey, tannic/astringent. A bit to harsh for my liking.

Bottle to pint glass at Treasure Island bar and grill. Pours a honeycomb, hazy with. Ice white head. Taste is a little honey and some spice. Not getting barrel on this. Not terribly complex but tasty.
