COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Winter 2012 Ale Brewed with Oranges and Ginger. Central Valley Oranges. Our blend of sweet and blood oranges were grown all-naturally at the family owned Hamada Farm in the central Valley. 7% 23 IBU Winter 2012 We brewed a bright, aromatic and warming "white" ale to sip through the short days and cold nights of our Northen California Winter. We Started with a healthy infusion of wheat, layered in a blend of juicy winter oranges from Hamada Farms, and added a touch of fresh ginger root to impart a hint of spicy, tangy heat. Finally a classic Belgian Wit yeast imparts a fruity, phenolic bite and rich, yeasty aroma. Pair with Cuban-Style roast pork or chevre goat cheese.

Brilliant hazy yellow orange golden in color... Aroma of citrus, orange peel, wheat malts... Flavor is pineapple juice up front, gives way to notes of ginger, Belgian yeast on the palate... Solid wit ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some wheat, coriander and cinnamon notes. The flavor is very similar with some wheat character, as well as some spicy cinnamon and nutmeg character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Nice intro but ginger finish is a bit too much. Slightly medicinal and, ironically, a bit fake tasting. Lacks subtlety. Tastes as if the brewers REALLY wanted to make sure you knew there were orange and ginger added. A disappointing offering from what is usually a top- notch brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
