3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Wolfbass (585) - Firenze, ITALY - MAY 9, 2012
Colore ambrato tendente al marrone. Al naso più luppoli che malto in evidenza. Buona anche in bocca, ma non mi ha particolarmente colpito.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 abemorsten (1315) - Randaberg, NORWAY - MAR 31, 2012
Shared 75 cl bottle at Cardinal. Hazy orange body with small particles in it. Inch thick, creamy, light brown head leaving excellent lacing. Wooden, spicy, sweet dried light fruits on the nose. Spicy, bitter, toasted, light wooden, heavy sweet flavors and a hint of chlorine. Medium to full body, light syrupy mouthfeel.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dEnk (1838) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 20, 2012
Bottle @ tasting. Aroma is nutty, old fruit beer like.
Flavour is caramel, bread, some fruit, a bit like a hoppy belgian dubbel.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MaartenRF10 (518) - Wageningen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 15, 2012
Tasting @ De Molen Warm amber, white head. Honey, some fruit, fairly bitter with sweet undertones. Dry ending. Nothing smoked about this one!
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 erickok (1061) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 15, 2012
Amber clear and small frothy lasting lace. Soaked raisins, booze, nutty malt base, nutmeg. Barley winey. Bit thin, but understandable for the abv. Dry, light bitterness. Sandy feel; dead hops? Aroma is much better. Good brew. (At De Molen tasting)
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Vaiz (2034) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 14, 2012
Bottle at dEnk’s montly tasting session @ De Molen. Clear deep orange pour, thin off-white head. Aroma is a bit dusty, slightly chemical and with some dry fruits and nuts. Flavor is spicy, somewhat dusty and dry. A bit boring, but might have been over its prime.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - DEC 1, 2011
75cl bottle. The aroma has caramel malts, cinamon, slight hops. Hazy, brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is light bitter, has roasted caramel malts, spices. Medium bodied. Nice.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 larsga (4617) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 23, 2011
Medium offwhite head. Clear deep red body with visible
particles. Wooden roasty caramel aroma with resiny lacquer and
spice notes. Dry-sweet and faintly acidic roasty caramelly and
chocolatey taste with spicy resiny earthy notes. Fullish body.
Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish resiny citric roasty aftertaste
with earthy caramel and wood notes. Some spice and licorice
notes, too. Really nice. Rich, complex, and full-flavoured, yet
balanced and harmonic. An impressive beer. (0.75l bottle,
Håndverkerstuene, Oslo. Bottle says 5.8%.)
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 25, 2011
Bottle, 75cl, at Haandverkerstuene. It’s almost clear in the glass, dark amber in color and with a small, off-white head. Spiced and herbal nose with a pleasant maltyness and some cellar and alcohol. Nice bitterness in the flavor, along with herbs and spices. Malty and slightly warming from the alcohol, which sort of puzzles me. Might be some strange form of smoke I’m detecting. Long finish with herbs and bitterness. A tasteful beer that drinks easily. 110211
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 garza (480) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - JUN 21, 2011
Pours darky brown colour with light tan head. Fruity aroma with yeast and hops presence. Medium bitterness in the taste and refreshing but it lacks a bit of taste and character. Light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, medium bitter after taste. Ok. PD: Where is the smokiness??
