Cloudy amber color with medium sized, compact creamy head. Strong aroma, mainly vanilla and wood, Bourbon whiskey, then malt. Good malt flavor, with toffee, maybe butter, and just moderate bitterness; strong bitterness, biting on the tongue. Good, but apparently the wood is more appreciated than the underlying beer.

28/11/2011 330ml bottle. Dorata, spenta, riflessi ambrati, schiuma pannosa, biancastra, poco abbondante e poco persistente. Aroma variegato di malto e luppolo, non molto eccitante, ma piuttosto persistente. In bocca ha un attacco dolciastro, cui segue un finale appena luppolato. Non così complessa come mi aspettavo. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Così così.

[ Bottle # 2/240 ]. Unclear medium yellow red - orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried apricot, spicy, wood, tobacco. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy, wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20110917]
