3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: Smelling of egg yolk, sugar and nuts.
Appearance: Very clouded and murky, a brown brew with hint of orange, a warm off-white uneven head, good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Starting sweet, brown bread, syrup, raisins, sherry, Marzipan and apple peel.
Palate: Medium carbonation, smooth and thick, a big body and a slightly dry finish.
Overall: A sweet barley wine, young, as most I get the feeling I should have waited a few years.
Note: Bottle. Reviewed 2012-07-20.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Det här är kanske inte världens mest välsmakande öl men den är ytterst komplex och då även intressant. Smaken är nötig, syrlig och unken, som sagt inte världens mest välsmakande öl men förbannat rolig.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Man, I didn’t know what I was getting into with this one...but that was the point. Nose is synthetic rubber, caramel and nuts, honey, whole grain mustard, and peat malt. Very unique. Body is a dull orange color with not much for head. Taste is funky with less of that rubber quality, a touch of alcohol, lightly fruity, and brown mustard. Strange is for sure. I brought this one specifically for Markwise. Cheers!!

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
OmegaX has a way of finding these interesting brews. The aroma is a tad smoky, but with hints of crayons, rubbing alcohol. The taste is of smoked almonds and toast. In the strangest way I liked it a little bit.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nut brown and light hazy colour with an off white lasting head. Caramel and some fruity notes in the aroma. A fine toffee backround with some smoked notes. Also a bit fruity. Did go very well with some cheese. Not many smoked beer i fancy. But together with proper food, some are just perfect.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
11.2oz bottle at Maxs. Unfiltered deep brown. Big time massive peat smoke aroma. Aggressive, almost like a whiskey/scotch. Underlying honey, some mild zestiness, but overall this is pretty brutal. Unique, very unique.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Systembolaget in Nordby, Gothenburg. Pours a deep hazy, near-murky nut brown body with a medium creamy off-white head. Aroma is nuts, biscuits, almonds and hints of rubber and caramel. Strange, but fairly OK. Taste is rubbery caramel tones, metallic grainy notes with toffee and hints of smoke and biscuits. A bit thin body-wise, with medium carbonation. Can’t really make up my mind about this one; it’s strange and original, but really that good to be honest. Style-wise, I had a hard time guessing but barley wine seems to be as good as anything.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Muddy brown colour. Dense head. Camp fire aroma with notes of yeast and fruit. Flavour is smoke, yeast, fruit, dough and a little bit of alcohol. Tastes more like an unfiltered weizen bock than a barley wine.
